Crayons in the Dryer...and Other Sanctifying Events: A Little Something Sweet

Crayons in the Dryer.and Other Sanctifying Events. Life and happenings of a (pastor's) wife and mom of 4. Sunday, January 24, 2010. A Little Something Sweet. I know that, for a lot of people, it's traditional to have a nice, big, family dinner following church. Not so much for us. Our Sunday lunch usually consists of what is leftover (and still edible) in the frig from the previous week. Not very exciting. No, Molly. No candy today.". No, Molly. We aren't going to eat any candy this afternoon.". I'm remi...

Crayons in the Dryer...and Other Sanctifying Events: It Takes a Village...

Crayons in the Dryer.and Other Sanctifying Events. Life and happenings of a (pastor's) wife and mom of 4. Tuesday, December 18, 2012. It Takes a Village. Raising children is hard. Our worldly culture makes it even harder. Throw Christian culture into the mix and, sadly, sometimes you have another hurdle. So why can’t we moms offer each other the same grace? Please don’t tell me it only surfaces later in life! When I interact with friends of my children, am I harsh? Do they know that I love them? 5 Let...

Crayons in the Dryer...and Other Sanctifying Events: Two Years...

Crayons in the Dryer.and Other Sanctifying Events. Life and happenings of a (pastor's) wife and mom of 4. Tuesday, July 24, 2012. Time passes quickly. Two years ago, about the time I stopped writing my blog, I found out I was pregnant. It was a complete and utter shock but such a wonderful surprise. All the other times I have been pregnant the other children were too little to really understand, but this time everyone "got it". It was fun. I called my friend Lynne. Telling the children was a blast. T...

Crayons in the Dryer.and Other Sanctifying Events. Life and happenings of a (pastor's) wife and mom of 4. Saturday, June 14, 2008. Getting away from the routine of life is soooo good for the soul, isn’t it? We left last Sunday for General Assembly in Dallas, Texas. Our intention was to leave Monroeville and drive to Houston, spend a couple nights with Michael’s sister and family there, then drive on to Dallas Tuesday morning. We turned the car around. We hit Birmingham around dinner time, and we were abl...

Crayons in the Dryer...and Other Sanctifying Events: Molly's Melon
http://maccaughelty6.blogspot.com/2009/09/mollys-melon.html
Crayons in the Dryer.and Other Sanctifying Events. Life and happenings of a (pastor's) wife and mom of 4. Tuesday, September 22, 2009. This morning I was doing laundry. I don't mind doing laundry.it's the folding and putting away that I can't stand. When Molly gets home from school, I don't have to ask her what was for lunch. When she gets in the car at 3pm, one quick glance gives me all the information I need. So, Molly.how were the sloppy joes today? And red jello, too? Is it a bit of Monday's lunch?

Crayons in the Dryer.and Other Sanctifying Events. Life and happenings of a (pastor's) wife and mom of 4. Saturday, July 28, 2012. This is the cake from Caroline's 12th birthday party. Slumber parties rock. When I was a kid I loved to have them and I loved to go to them. Do you remember this: 18 or so girls, sleeping bags strewn over the living room floor, "Don't Stop Believing" or "Crazy Train" blaring on the record player while copious amounts of pizza, pop and cake were consumed? Can I be honest?

What Counts in Life. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. Galatians 5:6b. Tuesday, December 01, 2009. Happy Birthday Big Boy! Our little buddy turned FOUR on Thanksgiving. It's so hard to believe.he's already acting like such a big boy, too. All day we were telling him "Happy Birthday! And he didn't believe it until he blew out the candles on the cake. After he blew them out he looked at me and said, "Am I four NOW, Mom? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Snippet of the Sims.

I went in for my 40 week doctor's visit, but was sent straight to the delivery floor to be induced after Jed did not pass a non-stress test. Four hours later, we were greeted by this wonderful, healthy precious gift. Our hearts are overflowing! Here he is weighing in at 7 1/2 pounds and 19 1/2"- our littlest one :). They are so proud and thankful for their little brother. Nana getting her first look.
