What Kirra is Up To. Monday, April 23, 2012. Here is Kai at some 2 to 3 pounds last year. Here he is today wearing same preemie "outfit" from last year. I just realized you put him in the same premie outfit from when he was born! LOLhe looks like the GIANT baby in Munchkinland! Gramma loves you tons! April 23, 2012 at 7:57 PM. What Kirra is Up To. Thursday, April 12, 2012. Back to Back Appointments. Kai had two appointments today- Cardiologist and Ophthalmologist. EKG followed by sonogram. Today was his first eye exam. They dilated his eyes and checked for near sighted (which he is not! And for cross-eyes (which he is not! Almost dilated all the way and I don't think his right eye is 'crossed'.I was three inches away from his face.I'm sure I would crossed my eyes! Now that he is crawling, he is well on his way to walking?

What Kirra is Up To. Thursday, January 26, 2012. Never Trust A Preemie. He was about the same all day, sleepy, runny nose, and cough until bedtime. He started coughing a lot more and had a hard time catching his breath. So I decided to just take him in the ER (10pm) even if it was just a common cold. Saturday, May 26, 2012. No more synagis shots and the fear of RSV is all but eliminated. The only tangible reminder of Veronica's extreme prematurity is her bi-weekly visits from her physical therapist (who we absolutely love by the way.) Life is good. Having the baby, not today. After all, I was only 23 weeks pregnant. When I arrived at the hospital, I got out of the car and handed my car keys to the valet attendant. Thursday, April 18, 2013. It's hard to believe that it has been two years since the scariest day of my life. Part of me still feels like it was yesterday.
