Handcrafted by Shirley: Birthday Cakes and a Banner
http://shirleymade.blogspot.com/2015/06/birthday-cakes-and-banner.html
Saturday, June 6, 2015. Birthday Cakes and a Banner. After two nights of staying up until the wee hours of the morning, I have finally finished the things for the first birthday party which is today. I finished the cakes last night, along with a banner for Joey's Minecraft theme. I couldn't find one anywhere, so I had to get creative with the computer and toy packaging. Here are the results of last night's work. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Sweaters for the family. Size 3...

Handcrafted by Shirley: March 2015
http://shirleymade.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 21, 2015. Ryder's baby things are done. I just finished the things I wanted to make for Ryder. I was even able to make use of a mistake that I had made by turning it into something else. I hope they like farm animals because almost everything I have made is of a farm theme. This hat is actually one that I had made for sending to the hospital for the newborns, but I decided to give one to Ryder. This is the lightest weight one, so I chose it since he will not be a cold weather baby. My cam...

Sunday, May 3, 2015. This is the wrap snapped shut. In this shot, you can see how one side is folded over and snapped and then the other corner is folded over and snapped on the other side. Handcrafted by Shirley: June 2015
http://shirleymade.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 16, 2015. I am a bad grandma. I forgot one of my grandson's birthdays. He is a super hero lover, too, so when I made the set of super hero toys for Joey, I cut out two sets of each figure so I could make a set for Jackson, too. He is coming to visit from Penn. tonight, so I just finished his figures yesterday. Here is his set. Saturday, June 6, 2015. Birthday Cakes and a Banner. Thursday, June 4, 2015. Handcrafted by Shirley: Birthday Toys Complete
http://shirleymade.blogspot.com/2015/06/birthday-toys-complete.html
Thursday, June 4, 2015. Iron Man is made all of felt and the mouth and eye outline are embroidered. Captain America is also felt with the mouth and eye outline embroidered. Poor Spiderman has a crooked head. He is made of cotton material and his lines and spider are drawn on with fabric marker. The spider is tiny, but he looks okay anyway. Batman is made of felt with a vinyl cape and hood. I put the hood over the head before I stuffed the doll. This shows the awesome look of the back of the Batman cape.

Handcrafted by Shirley: Birthday Time Again
http://shirleymade.blogspot.com/2015/05/birthday-time-again.html
Saturday, May 23, 2015. Joey's favorite color is red, so I put his on red. The picture doesn't show up much in the photo, but it includes a couple of his favorite characters. It says: Now Joey is six Minecraft is his fix. Of course, Lexi's shirt had to be hot pink. Her phrase says: Lexi at five Keeps Barbie alive. The picture is actually of a cake topper with Barbie in a party gown. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Crafts available for order or sale. Sweaters for the family.

Letters to Luthien: November 2010
http://jessicaandrome.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
It was actually great! Bus ride from Providence to Manhattan- I managed to get you and Bastian to sleep at the same time! Playing with Georges in his room:. Playing (and not really wanting to share) with cousin Olivia at Aunt Trisha's house:. Playing at the park with all the cousins. You were delighted to find the big turtles, frog, and whale! It was a beautiful weekend- a bit warmer than New England so the leaves haven't fallen off the trees yet. Here are the adults hanging out:. And it felt great!

Josh & Meagan: Nine years and counting...
http://joshandmeagan.blogspot.com/2015/07/nine-years-and-counting.html
Based on a true story. Nine years and counting. In May, Josh and I celebrated our nine year wedding anniversary, and a fun anniversary it was. First off we randomly decided to get dressed up and take some "wedding" photos. The girls were in heaven seeing us all fancy, and honestly it was fun twirling around in my dress again. This man here is my best friend, the one human being I can always depend on and turn to for anything. He's there for me through it all, and seems to have been designed just for ...

Handcrafted by Shirley: Project of a different sort, storage bin seats
http://shirleymade.blogspot.com/2015/07/project-of-different-sort-storage-bin.html
Friday, July 17, 2015. Project of a different sort, storage bin seats. I feel the project was a success that really didn't take that long to do. It actually took me longer to get all the tools I needed to do the project than it did to actually do it. If I had known everything I needed when I started, I could have saved time. However, I often do not know what I'm going to need until I need it. This is what the seat looks like from the side. You can see the storage area below the cushion. The stones and be...

Summa Cum Blonde: I fall down a lot...
http://summacumblonde.blogspot.com/2015/03/i-fall-down-lot.html
One smart girl. Many not-so-smart moments. Wednesday, March 11, 2015. I fall down a lot. I fall down a lot" is my tag-line on Twitter and today, I proved it to be true. Many friends remember my Great Club Cafe Injury of 2013, when I danced right off the stage after bee-bopping to Whitney's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody." That resulted in a severely sprained ankle (which could have been a fracture if not for my super tight leather boots I was wearing! Today was a similarly awesome incident. Pie, what else?
