http://bobbipearce.blogspot.com/2009/01/is-it-play-or-work.html
Saturday, January 3, 2009. Is it play or work? Good to see that you are making efforts with your printmaking. I have read through your blog and I appreciated your honesty or should I perhaps say sincerity. Is that image of the cock a doodle do the plate for the collagraph or the print itself? Look forward to seeing these prints you have started? January 4, 2009 at 9:16 AM. Thank you and take care. January 4, 2009 at 12:43 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Is it play or work? When we weren't playing yahtzee or backgammon we were putting puzzles together. Thought you all would like to take a gander. Posted by lost @ 6:17 PM. This print was entirely subtractive, etching three plates to a full value then scrapping and burnishing to reveal different hues and form. Time consuming, but a very physical technique. A lot of proofing as well. Final wo...

My work references the idea of building. This could mean construction of a physical structure or implied movement. I refer to historic and contemporary architecture, farm spaces, and underwater environments. I am interested in the act of finding space through repetition, color and texture. I am also interested in shapes and their placement which could suggest a narrative.
