Another quieting fog has descended upon my misty brae this first day of 2013. It’s a fitting backdrop, really, for these types of musings. My day is quiet because I choose for it to be. And because the drifting fog muffles every noise so that even hollering goats are shushed into pensive cud-chewing. Nothing seemed “right.”. And I will wait.

A shushing fog is drifting across the brae this morning. There are Christmas preparations still undone. Barn work yet to be finished. And a whole host of kitchen projects waiting in the wings. But my heart whispers, “Be still. Wait. Listen.”. So I do. I simply walk outside, stand in the blanketing fog, and listen. Because He is really there.

Troy and I are very very happy with the job that was done by those working at Bridgeton Boatworks. So she no longer has the storage boxes on her roof. Her lines are more sleek. The week after memorial Day we traveled with our friends Bob and Mona, they aboard WaterDawg 6 and we aboard Gilraker to River Dunes Marina. It was a very nice day as we pulled out of New Bern. Sun and a slight breeze. What’s that all about? Where are the Cabana Boys? We loved the pool; gee why can’t I can’t I have one at my house? Well I suppose it does make earning money a bit easier!
