Kitchenbridge - Why
http://kitchenbridge.co.uk/why.asp
Bridge will lift the spirits. It is often said at parties that the most interesting people and the most fun are found in the kitchen - it is also where the booze is located, so that may have something to do with it. The fact is that more often than not, the kitchen has the relaxed atmosphere one looks for at a party. Kitchenbridge is about having fun whilst learning how to play or improve your game at a pace that suits you. Bridge is a social game and Kitchenbridge never forgets that.
Kitchenbridge - Where
http://kitchenbridge.co.uk/where.asp
You don't have to live in London to learn bridge. Kitchenbridge is primarily available in central London but I am very happy to travel further. Many clients hold bridge weekends, whereby they do an entire course over two days, this is especially good for those who live a long way from London. It is more of a house party. Please note I do not drive and therefore public transport needs to be available. Please email me to discuss. Edna Kissmann Kissmnann Langford.
Kitchenbridge - Extras
http://kitchenbridge.co.uk/kbextras.asp
Don't take the game too seriously. Either you are pushed for time, or you live too far away for me to visit on a regular basis in which case all the courses can be taught over a weekend (or a couple of days midweek). There are two lessons per day, typically one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I am very happy to stay the night if accommodation is offered in which case a lesson can be in the evening instead. Why not organise a weekend bridge party for friends and get the neighbours involved? It ca...

Kitchenbridge - Conventions
http://kitchenbridge.co.uk/conventions.asp
Always respect your bridge partner! A convention is a 'cypher' bid which allows you to ask your partner a specific question about their hand, or to tell them something specific about your own hand. There are many conventions used in bridge (too many) but all your need are half a dozen to be a really good bridge player. Having some conventions under your belt can be the difference between playing in black and white or colour! You can choose any of the conventions listed below. One of the most popular conv...

Kitchenbridge - Lessons

The Kitchen Brewery
I home brew beer in my kitchen 5 gallons at a time. Once in a while I ferment some cider or wine. Whatever happens I post it here: the story of my brew, the recipe, and the pictures. Monday, April 4, 2016. Dry or liquid yeasts. I prefer liquid yeasts but for wines, there doesn't seem to be as much variety in the liquid category. Do you have a favorite yeast, or do you use wild yeasts when fermenting, let me know in the comments. Friday, February 12, 2016. Thursday, September 24, 2015. Many people I know ...

EMAIL THIS SITE TO A FRIEND. My name is Barry Farncombe and I teach people on a private basis how to play bridge. All lessons are held in your own home and you can learn on your own or with friends and family. I teach both in London and the Home Counties. There are also lessons available to download, for those people who want to teach themselves or improve their existing game, without the need to access a teacher, a club or a poorly structured bridge book.
