For dinner we ate the corn with some delicious Chestnut Farms. Anna particularly liked the corn on the cob. Red Wine Short Ribs of Beef. From Not Your Mother’s Slow Cooker Cookbook. 1 c red wine. 3 tbsp soy sauce. 2 cloves garlic, crushed. 2 tbsp brown sugar. 1/2 tsp black pepper. 4 lb beef short ribs. 2 medium-size yellow onions, chopped.

Yes, it sounds strange, but it’s actually a delicious combination and a nice change from the typical pizza. The original recipe calls for goat cheese – we haven’t used it because we don’t typically have it on hand but it would surely be a great addition. Where (joined by Steve’s brother Dave) we participated in the “Sap to Syrup Farmer’s Breakfast.” We learned about maple sugaring and ate pancakes, sausages, and potatoes.
