Words, pictures, adventures! Monday, April 21, 2008. Wenatchee Marathon, April 20, 2008. We woke up to SNOW! It was in the forecast, but I was hoping for the mid-70s of the weekend before. Crazy weather! So long wind pants and long sleeve shirt. I wore the memorial photo of Rachel on my back, daughter of dear friends who'd been killed in a car wreck the first part of March. Words, pictures, adventures! Wednesday, July 23, 2008. Last weekend, four of us drove out to Lincoln City, to catch the tidepool at low tide. It was fantastic! The tide was lower because of the full moon, and we saw so many starfish and anenomes. It was amazing how full of life the tidepools were. Words, pictures, adventures! Sunday, July 19, 2009. Run in the Country, Coburg, OR. This is a beautiful, flat 1/2 marathon! It runs around Coburg, Oregon, and it really is running in the country. I rode to Wendy's house with Michael on Saturday evening, and Michael and Wendy did the early walker start at 6:00 am, and I did the runner start at 7:00 am, so I got in a couple extra miles before my start. Words, pictures, adventures! Wednesday, October 22, 2008. Here are some pics from last Sunday's hike up Eagle Creek trail. I went along with Reggie and his friends, Dave and Jan, and it was a great hiking day that ended with us watching a helicopter rescue up on Mt. Hood. Words, pictures, adventures! Monday, September 15, 2008. What a beautiful run! Last year when Team Karen and Team Elite did this race, it was misty and overcast, and we couldn't see Mt. Hood. This year was sunny and warm (at least after the start - it was a brisk morning! The start was very organized - this year chip timed, and one runner every 3-5 seconds. Sunday, July 19, 2009. Hello my friends. I don't know if anyone will even read this anymore because it has been so long since I have posted! It is summer for me now and I have finished my Bachelor's degree. I am starting grad school in the fall and this summer I am trying to reclaim my health to be ready for the challenges ahead. I have lost 15 lbs. and have 15 more to go. I have not run in forever and am considering starting up again because I remember how good it felt! I will let you know how it goes :).

Sunday, January 29, 2012. Hello to all my friends! We are all hanging in here. It's been so tough since Grandma passed. I miss her more and more each day. I still can't believe she is gone. There is so much I wish I could share with her. I know she is our angel, and is watching over us! On February 4th mom will be 2 years cancer free! Monday, April 25, 2011. Hope everyone had a fabulous holiday weekend! I am sorry I haven't updated my blog. I really really promise to try to update it daily! Yesterday was a gorgeous hot day! Unfortunately, we didn't run :( I just did some light weights. But we ran today! It was only 65 degrees but 100% humidity! It was soo hard to breathe! 56:27, 9:24 pace. Believe me, we were happy when it was over! I love running in the heat but my body has to get used to it again! Have a great day xo.

Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Some more 2012 updates. All has been going well here. Mom went to the oncologist and he was very pleased with to inform her that she still is cancer free and ok! She has her colonoscopy on 1/30. If that goes well (which it will), February 4th will be her 2 years cancer free mark! I'm so so happy for her. It's been a long journey but she deserves the best. I wish my Grandma was here to see all this; she'd be so proud. On Monday, I will be celebrating my 23rd birthday! The Jour...

Words, pictures, adventures! Sunday, May 23, 2010. Keizer Iris Festival 10K. I originally registered for the half marathon, but the PF injury from 5 weeks ago is still an issue, so I changed to the 10K and walked it this morning. A very good walk! I met Bill, who's in the 85-90 age group (but doesn't look that age) and we chatted the whole way about his walking adventures. He prefers ultras to shorter races, but supports the races in the Salem area. Tuesday, October 13, 2009. Bizz Johnson Trail Marathon.
