Thursday, September 27, 2012. And more house pics. Our very happy news for today is that Christian had his cast removed this morning! For the next few hours he refused to walk on his leg - after all, he hasn't been using it properly for a month - but by dinner he was limping around quite easily. I'm sure by the end of the weekend he'll be walking normally. Such a relief! Windows in the family room in the rear of the house. Looking out the sliding glass door of the breakfast nook in the rear of the house.

Monday, July 22, 2013. Happy Birthday, Gabriel! Having our oldest turn eight is making Ryan and I start to feel like we're not fresh out of college anymore. ;-) He is such a wonderful little guy - so thoughtful and kind, and with such enthusiasm and joy for even the little things in his life. Ryan and I had a wonderful time creating the Lego-themed party that he requested. He invited a friend from school to his actual party, and my parents arrived in time for his birthday dinner. What a special day!

Wednesday, August 21, 2013. The summer has flown by unbelievably fast and both public and private schools in our county have been in session for at least a week now. We started up with homeschooling this past Monday, and so far it is going just swimmingly! Gabriel is using Sonlight's Core B (with some substitutions for religion) and John is using the PreK 4/5.
