Thursday, September 2, 2010. Last day in Italy. Endings are never fun.but Katherine kept me so busy there was no time to be sad. We had a final tour at the Borghese Museum. All I can say is Bernini is a master sculptor and he made statues of marble seem alive. We asked a guy to take our photo in front of the museum. Usually people snap one shot and hand the camera back. Sunday, August 15, 2010. The City of Fountains. There are 150 sculpted fountains in Rome! Me see half of them in one day! This is Piazza Barberini. The sculptor Bernini created this Triton Fountain in the 1600s. These drinking fountains are also found all over the city. I learned how to "properly" drink from one. I had water all over all my face and hair but it was refreshing. And I had "gelato" ice cream all over my fingers, so I washed off all the chocolate as well. August 16, 2010 at 7:16 AM.

Monday, July 18, 2011. Growing plants and Growing UP. Mom has a green thumb- greener than mine, but I share the same love of plants. For Mother's Day I sent her 4 Topsy Turvy. Gardens (yes- I am a sucker for those darn tv advertisements that look so magical) Well the TT hanging gardens sat in the box at Round Valley and were never used.
