Pattern Parade

Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Pattern Parade - 4. Pattern - 18 stitches by 24 rows. Sample - 36 stitches 2 by 48 6 rows. Very plain, "quiet" pattern with lots of blank space based on centre stem of holes and decreases done on outer edge for bottom half of the leaf. Used as basis of several other patterns to come it would appear where the designs are closer together. Would look nice as the border of a garment knit plain beyond 3 or 5 bands of the leaves. Use as a transition between other patterns. First pattern...

Pattern Parade: Pattern Parade - Intro

http://www.knitflitpatternparade.blogspot.com/2010/06/pattern-parade-intro.html

Thursday, June 3, 2010. Pattern Parade - Intro. So many garments and scarfs and shawls and hats are developed just by picking a stitch pattern. It is how they are combined that makes the big difference. Knowing how a stitch will make up certainly helps to get the mind thinking in the various ways that they could be used. With so few readers I hope you'll excuse me in this self-indulgent venture and enjoy your visit to this site. Maybe it will challenge you in some way. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Pattern Parade: Pattern Parade - 2

http://www.knitflitpatternparade.blogspot.com/2010/06/pattern-parade-2.html

Saturday, June 5, 2010. Pattern Parade - 2. Pattern - 14 stitches 1 by 16 rows. Sample - 25 stitches 2 by 32 6 rows. Very textured, 3 dimensional patterns of offsetting leaf columns. Curves a lot on all sides. YO forms the center line in the bottom half of the leaf and the decreases are the center stitch in the top half of the leaf. Doesn't lay as nice as #1 especially for the reverse side. Knit 24 May 2010. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Pattern Parade - 4.

Pattern Parade: Pattern Parade - 1

http://www.knitflitpatternparade.blogspot.com/2010/06/pattern-parade-1.html

Saturday, June 5, 2010. Pattern Parade - 1. First pattern in the book so will do a few at least in order. They are grouped in categories so may get tired of the category and will have to mix them up. Pattern - 16 stitches 1 by 21 rows. Sample 25 stitches 2 by 50 6 rows. Very textured, 3 dimensional patterns of offset leaves with 2 reverse stockinette stitch between to "push" the leaf forward. Curves a lot on all sides. Not fully reversible but it does look fairly nice on the wrong side. Knit 16 May 2010.

Knitting & Flitting: Hotel #2 - Karlsruhe, May 17 - 19

http://knitflit.blogspot.com/2015/05/hotel-2-karlsruhe-may-17-19.html

Saturday, June 6, 2015. Hotel #2 - Karlsruhe, May 17 - 19. This one gave us history and elegance. Built in 1922 and the elevator is wood and glass from 1942. For some reason, it now has a heritage designation. Andrea has some pictures of it but my flash camera didn't take any good pictures. And some views of the stairway that circled around the elevator. Had the third bed in as we had hoped our friend now living in Hamburg might join us for the day. Only get one key for the room but what a key! Tub and s...

Knitting & Flitting: Train to Amsterdam - May 19

http://knitflit.blogspot.com/2015/06/train-to-amsterdam-may-19.html

Sunday, June 7, 2015. Train to Amsterdam - May 19. Great breakfast at the hotel. When it is this good and is included it does make sense to enjoy it. Decided to take a tram tour of the city to see the downtown and all. The hotel didn't mind holding our bags for us and the tram is just across the road. Only cost 8 euros and had a hour ride. Was fun just to sit back and see all the houses and gardens rolling by. People watching was also fun as had school kids and seniors. This is where we turned around.

Knitting & Flitting: Coming home -- May 20

http://knitflit.blogspot.com/2015/06/coming-home-may-20.html

Tuesday, June 9, 2015. Coming home - May 20. We had reached the point where the only focus of our trip was the final part of getting home. Travelling on our own we wanted to get to the airport early to ensure we had time for everything. Headed across to the train station and purchased tickets to Schipol airport. May I note here that there are numerous trains and buses that go to the. The trains are enroute. And the cost was just over 10 Euros for the two of us. Not too many eating places that we found bu...

Knitting & Flitting: Hotel #3 - May 19 - 20

http://knitflit.blogspot.com/2015/06/hotel-3-may-19-20.html

Monday, June 8, 2015. Hotel #3 - May 19 - 20. Just to remind everyone, Andy had booked our hotels and trains and such for us. He had concerns about this last hotel but it wasn't at the very top of the prices nor was it at the very bottom and the reviews stated that it had a good location. So when he asked us how it was the reply texted was "It has a good location". For some reason that didn't ease his mind at all. Now - - the hotel. Turn to the wall that would be on your right and there was a desk with t...

Knitting & Flitting: Butterflies 2015

http://knitflit.blogspot.com/2015/06/butterflies-2015.html

Monday, June 15, 2015. Each year the local Bereaved Parents group has a Sunday when you can release some butterflies. This year it was held June 14. In the past few weeks they have been doing a lot of work in the area of Springbank Park to upgrade the area with a much nicer sawdust trail, many more plants, clearing of some brush and the building of the second monument. KnitFixation

Wednesday, December 30, 2009. Enjoy, all you Knit-a-holics! Sunday, August 30, 2009. Not exactly knitting related, but hey - this is one of my all-time favourite recipes which I originally found in the 1987 (! It is a milk-based sauce as opposed to the standard tomato-based sauce, so for those of you who may suffer tomato allergies, make this with confidence. Oh! Oh, and if you want to check out the blog where I found this long-lost recipe, go here:. Country Style Spaghetti -serve 4 to 6. 1 onion, chopped.

Een Gentse breiclub-A knitting club in Ghent, Belgium. Woensdag 31 januari 2018. Een winterse warme wolnamiddag. Woensdag 17 januari 2018.
