Creative Musings: Mohair Effalump
http://shunklies.blogspot.com/2012/10/mohair-effalump.html
Tuesday, 16 October 2012. A photo by Shunklies. Here is my latest boy. He is an Effalump, made from Mohair, stuffed with wool and weighted with steel shot. He has boot button eyes and a silk ribbon. He is quite heavy, but don't tell him as he's very sensitive about his weight. He has been made from two different types and shades of Mohair, and I used Falkland carded wool batts to stuff him with. He is 9 Inches tall. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Make your own badge here. My Attic got plastered!

http://catknit-knits.blogspot.com/2007/06/you-know-when-you-put-off-doing.html
Monday, June 11, 2007. You know when you put off doing something for ages and then just never quite get back to it? Well ain't that just the way with blogging, I've had a horribly stressful couple of months, details of which I won't go into here because this is supposed to be fun. So the blog has been neglected yet again and when I come back to it, I can't think what to put first! Should I start with the oldest F.O's or the most recent and work back? Lovely to hear from you, and lovely pics! Someone did ...

knit-tigger: Endpaper Mitts
http://knit-tigger.blogspot.com/2013/05/endpaper-mitts.html
Saturday, May 04, 2013. Yesterday I finished my Endpaper Mitts. By Eunny Jang). As I said in an earlier post I wanted to learn to knit Fair Isle carrying one colour in each hand and I seem to have cracked it. Once I got into the rhythm of it it's not that difficult so I'll probably be doing some more Fair Isle in the not too distant future. It also has the added advantage, like knotting socks, of astonishing non knitters. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Tribulations of Hand Spinning and Herbal Dying.

Knittin' and stuff. August 4, 2013. Sadly I had to give up the Tour de Fleece towards the end due to a very, very painful shoulder. I most probably over did it a bit on the spinning, but that’s me, go at it ‘hell for leather’ and suffer the consequences after! I did manage to produce some yarns I am very proud of and once this shoulder heals or I find a way to work with it, I will go back and finish the yarns I started. One thing I did learn during The Tour, is the existence of Spindolyns. July 9, 2013.

Let's talk Stash: Retreating, UK-style
http://letstalkstash.blogspot.com/2009/03/retreating-uk-style.html
A blog highlighting fiber pursuits of all kinds, and even some finished objects once in a while. Friday, March 27, 2009. I just got back a couple of days ago from attending SkipNorth, a retreat that takes place in Haworth, Yorkshire, England. I last went 2 years ago, and missed it last year because of a guild event here at home. This year was therefore my second time, but the fourth for the retreat. Yorkshire is a county with lots of sheep-. An additional activity was added to the program this year, a sw...
