knitnmore: Only one thing
http://knitnmore.blogspot.com/2015/07/only-one-thing.html
Knitting and more.spinning, beading, crochet, tatting, bobbin lace, tambour, watercolor. Saturday, July 4, 2015. Yesterday I was off and did absolutely nothing except one thing. Before yesterday I was on the 3rd diamond of this Torchon and rose ground sampler. Yesterday I entered the zone. Other than fixing one meal and bathroom breaks, I worked from 9am to 11pm on it. Now onto everything else left on my "to do" list. Posted by Dianna Smith. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Create Daily by Me.
knitnmore: This makes me happy
http://knitnmore.blogspot.com/2015/07/this-makes-me-happy.html
Knitting and more.spinning, beading, crochet, tatting, bobbin lace, tambour, watercolor. Wednesday, July 8, 2015. This makes me happy. I finished my #roserootmkal shawlette made with handspun Merino/cashmere yarn. What I didn't expect was to run out again about 2 inches from the end. I can't say how many times I've eked out a project, sometimes with just inches of yarn left. No such luck this time. Guess this is the evening up of all those close wins! Want one of your own? You can find the pattern here:.
knitnmore: Torchon practice
http://knitnmore.blogspot.com/2015/07/torchon-practice.html
Knitting and more.spinning, beading, crochet, tatting, bobbin lace, tambour, watercolor. Saturday, July 18, 2015. Finished exercise #3 and, sure enough, the first section looks pretty bad but once you get past that, it's not so bad. The edges are pretty good and the centers are good. I thought that using the 2 colors was a mistake but it's actually not too bad with the colors that I used. It gives a little bit of interest. It's been fun playing with the colors. Knitting and more.spinning, beading, crochet, tatting, bobbin lace, tambour, watercolor. Tuesday, July 28, 2015. I've now finished the samples for section 1 of my workbook (clothwork). It's just my style that the book says the last sample (the one on the left) "presents more difficulties than 1.3 (the one on the right) and success may not be immediate! Of course the one I had difficulty with was 1.3 and I completely sailed through the last one. On to the next section - Torchon Ground. Create Daily by Me.

Knitting and more.spinning, beading, crochet, tatting, bobbin lace, tambour, watercolor. Friday, May 1, 2015. Spring is about all things becoming new again. In the spirit of spring, last night I found this. It's a metal box I got one Christmas that I found was generally perfect for tatting projects - long enough for crochet hook and deep enough to hold most balls of cotton and sturdy enough to protect the shuttle. Inside I found a tatted doily project is forgotten about. Posted by Dianna Smith. The sampl...

Knitting and more.spinning, beading, crochet, tatting, bobbin lace, tambour, watercolor. Saturday, September 9, 2017. Last Christmas I pulled out a book I'd picked up on my travels called, "Handbook of Stitches" by Grete Petersen and Elsie Svennas. It has instructions/illustrations for families of embroidery stitches along with a project that can be used to practice the stitches. Oh, yeah, I also practiced some color work from another book. Definitely more to come on that. Posted by Dianna Smith. I've be...

Quilting and Stuff by Knitnoid. Wednesday, December 30, 2009. Come visit my new blog at knitnoid.wordpress.com. A year ago I first starting blogging about my quilting to participate in Judy's Stash Reports over at Patchwork Times. It was a great tool for my first attempts at blogging. Monday, December 28, 2009. What's On My Design Wall? I finished ...
