Knit Out & About: Kat the Hat

http://knitoutandabout.blogspot.com/2011/10/kat-hat.html

Knit Out and About. My knitting and family life. Sunday, 16 October 2011. As winter draws ever nearer it is an excellent excuse to knit more hats - a girl can never have enough hats. I picked up the pattern book 'Precious'. By Kim Hargreaves recently and have started the pattern Kat from it; knitted in Rowan Kid Classic. Really shouldn't have started another project, as I have oodles to do on the needles already. Ah well. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Follow this blog with bloglovin.

Knit Out & About: September 2010

http://knitoutandabout.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

Knit Out and About. My knitting and family life. Saturday, 25 September 2010. Day Out in Manchester. My mate Claire and I had a potter around Manchester on Friday. We checked out the filming of Captain America around Dale St but unfortunately didn't spot any stars and was kept moving along by the security staff - was quite exciting though. We then mooched about the Northern Quarter, had a drink in the Crown&Kettle. Checked out some groovy shops and then finally hit Walrus. Sunday, 19 September 2010.

Knit Out & About: March 2011

http://knitoutandabout.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Knit Out and About. My knitting and family life. Sunday, 6 March 2011. Oh dear, knitting has taken a back seat as I am currently obsessed with cross stitching. It is very addictive and calming. I grabbed a couple of small kits from Hobbycraft to get the hang of things and the latest edition of Cross Stitcher magazine and did the free kit from that. And now I have a frame and large piece of aida and threads to tackle a bigger design. It is made up only full stitches, no halves or fiddly bits.

Knit Out & About: A stroll by the Lancaster Canal

http://knitoutandabout.blogspot.com/2011/11/stroll-by-lancaster-canal.html

Knit Out and About. My knitting and family life. Tuesday, 22 November 2011. A stroll by the Lancaster Canal. It was a nice crisp Autumnal day, so myself, Sal and the boys decided to go for a walk. We parked up at Carnforth and strolled along the canal, up in to Bolton-le-Sands briefly to then turn back along some rather muddy lanes and back along the canal to Carnforth. So glad I decided to wear my Hunter wellies. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Follow this blog with bloglovin.

Lady Gardens: Isle of Wight

http://ladygardens.blogspot.com/2011/08/isle-of-wight.html

With Bev and Josie.they don't beat about the bush. Saturday, 20 August 2011. Back in July we had a lovely week's holiday on the Isle of Wight. There were lots of lovely gardens to visit, most notably the stunning walled garden at Osborne House. It was so inspiring. I couldn't wait to get back to get some serious allotment time in. More of which will follow soon as I plan on going tomorrow to do some more work on it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Follow this blog with bloglovin. Knit Out and About.

Lady Gardens: Summer

http://ladygardens.blogspot.com/2011/07/summer.html

With Bev and Josie.they don't beat about the bush. Friday, 8 July 2011. Well, haven't we have had a mixed bag of weather so far.blisteringly hot, chucking it down. But I have been tending to the allotment and planting things out in the back garden when I can. The potatoes are doing well; flowering and getting nice and tall. Can't wait to reveal their bounty soon. My garden is also looking neat and tidy and the lawn is looking good. More seed will go down in September I think. See you all soon.

Lady Gardens: February 2011

http://ladygardens.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

With Bev and Josie.they don't beat about the bush. Saturday, 12 February 2011. Come Back Peter, Come Back Paul. Ok, so the bird table wasn't a huge success - not a single bird landed on it, that I was aware of anyway. So my dad said I needed to hang feeders from it.as it wasn't that secure in the ground I thought it best that I invest in feeder station. This one was £10 bargain from Aldi the other week and I finally got around to putting it up today. Bring on the birds! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Lady Gardens: Cuttings

http://ladygardens.blogspot.com/2012/02/cuttings.html

With Bev and Josie.they don't beat about the bush. Tuesday, 7 February 2012. There have been a lack of postings recently.everything is in hibernation - awaiting spring. I have managed to put a few raised beds in to the allotment and am hoping to make another one this weekend; we shall see how cold it remains as to whether or not I manage it. I have been studying for my RHS qualification and reading a lot too. The rather lovely Cuttings. 15 August 2013 at 10:53. From: CUT IT OUT wall decals.

Knitosaurus Rex

I knit a lot. You read about it. The end. Monday, June 27, 2005. Hmm Much Ado About Everything. It's been a while, eh? To tell the truth, I considered not blogging anymore, but I just couldn't resist. Here is an old picture of what the Scoop du Jour twins look like. Since this picture, I have done some more on those backs. Will I ever finish these sweaters? I won't ever finish them if I get distracted. Too late. Here's the first one that I am making for one of her nieces:. And this is my gorgeous sister:.

In the midst of moving madness – seriously, I spent most of today packing yarn and knitting books and have 8 boxes already filled…and more just keeps popping up! I don’t even want to think about packing all my books. Times like these I actually contemplate doing a Fleinhardt* and just getting rid of everything (except the yarn, obviously :D)… anyway – the Rustik Scarf. Pattern is finally up on Ravelry!

Knitting Outside the Lines

Knitting Outside the Lines. Monday, January 29, 2018. I'm a self-taught knitter and knitwear designer. When I was 24, I had my first opportunity to serve on a jury. We were empaneled for 2 weeks. During that time, I came to deeply appreciate the American justice system. The woman sitting next to me, in addition to performing her civic duty, also knit a vest. That book had a profound effect on me. I started knitting, worked the easy projects in the book, and branched out to other easy patterns. I discover...

Guess Who’s Back? December 1, 2015. Again, I know its been forever. Wow. 8 months. Crazy. Well, on the knitting front its not going well. I’ve started new projects, ripped out old ones and I still don’t want to knit. I’ll sometimes walk past my yarn cabinet and look at my yarn. I sometimes want to knit but I just don’t have the ambition to. I guess that’s what has kept me away from here. I feel like I have to write about knitting but I really have nothing to say about it.
