Live Stitches: January 2009
http://live-stitches.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Karen Knits (and sews, and crochets, and quilts, and.). Friday, January 9, 2009. A few weeks ago, I bought a papasan chair I found listed on Craigslist. I've been wanting one for a while, but brand new ones are pretty pricey - this one was about half the price of one at World Market, plus it came with a matching ottoman! Goodbye ugly map - hello paisley! See how much prettier that is? I was able to keep the old duvet buttons on the back side, so all I had to do was add a strip with buttonholes to the top...

Live Stitches: November 2008
http://live-stitches.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Karen Knits (and sews, and crochets, and quilts, and.). Saturday, November 1, 2008. I know, I know.forgive the cheesy title! Today was the last day for early voting here in NC, so I thought I'd try to save myself from standing in line after work on Tuesday and do my civic duty today. Generally, I don't want to talk politics on this blog, but let me just say - PLEASE VOTE! Well, FOUR and a half hours. 5 podcasts, a very hungry stomach, and almost an entire. Sock later I was back in the car. That's rig...

Live Stitches: I'm Back!
http://live-stitches.blogspot.com/2009/10/im-back.html
Karen Knits (and sews, and crochets, and quilts, and.). Thursday, October 15, 2009. It's true - I am the worst blogger ever. And I don't even really have an excuse! Somehow the rest of you keep blogging even though you're finishing PhD's, or moving far away, or having babies. I have no such excuse, other than sheer laziness. You know how you put things off, over and over, and then it gets so late, you just never do it.yeah. That's me. So - what have I been up to? I went to the beach! Subscribe to: Post C...

Live Stitches: Lace
http://live-stitches.blogspot.com/2009/02/lace.html
Karen Knits (and sews, and crochets, and quilts, and.). Sunday, February 22, 2009. I know I recently posted about my current blanket obsession.well, in total honesty, I wrote that post about a month ago, and then let it sit until a gentle nudge from Betsey. Reminded me of my neglected blog. While I'm still enjoying my blankets, I've recently been drawn more to some lacy knits. Maybe the glimpes of spring we've had? I knit this Seascape Stole. Over the holiday season, and I love it! Streak I've had going!

You win some....: May 2007
http://mickettymack.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. -Proverbs 31:13. Monday, May 28, 2007. So, I had a pretty good weekend. Probably would have been better if I hadn't had my heart broke. But that was a minor detail. Saturday night I went back to LaGrange, then on Sunday at church, MawMaw told me I should stay another day. So, Sonya, Jeremy and I spent the day at Callaway Gardens. It was beautiful. Now, onto my most recent project. Anybody know of a good bib pattern? Monday, May 21, 2007. Housewives wa...

You win some....: Fall into Autumn Dishcloth Exchange Survey
http://mickettymack.blogspot.com/2007/09/fall-into-autumn-dishcloth-exchange.html
She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. -Proverbs 31:13. Friday, September 7, 2007. Fall into Autumn Dishcloth Exchange Survey. Do you knit or crochet? How long have you been doing it? I do both. I really mostly knit, I do very little crochet anymore. But, I've been crocheting about. oh, 10 years or so. and knitting only a couple of months. Have you made dischloths before? Do you use them yourself, give them as gifts, or both? What's your favorite cotton to make cloths from? I love pumpkin ...

You win some....: Fall Into Autumn Topic of the Week and an Update.
http://mickettymack.blogspot.com/2007/09/fall-into-autumn-topic-of-week-and.html
She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. -Proverbs 31:13. Tuesday, September 11, 2007. Fall Into Autumn Topic of the Week and an Update. So, this week we've been asked to post about whether we change our yarn or our projects as the weather changes. My car is on the fritz. I get paid tomorrow, and I'm seriously afraid all my money's gonna be going into my car. But at least I'll have some peace of mind afterwards, and won't have to keep worrying about it. And in knitting news. I'm so glad we g...

You win some....: My Foodie Day
http://mickettymack.blogspot.com/2011/03/my-foodie-day.html
She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. -Proverbs 31:13. Monday, March 21, 2011. I feel like such a foodie today! For lunch (and I ate the rest for dinner), I had spaghetti and I made a "sauce" with a can of diced tomatoes, brown sugar, and hamburger meat. It was delicious. And for dessert, I had some granola, topped with peach yogurt, finished off with a dollop of peach jam, made by my sister-in-law last summer. Here is the recipe. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
