Knittin' it up. KIPs, WIPs and stranger things. The last rose of summer →. December 31, 2011. So in November when I restarted the blog I mentioned how my problem was writing essays instead of posts and planning way too much. So today when I wrote my previous one I realised this was still sitting in the drafts category and decided to keep the part that’s more fitting for a New Year’s than a Christmas post anyway. So here goes:. Here’s another one:. Nice street art, whoever did it! Leave a Reply Cancel rep...

Knittin' it up. KIPs, WIPs and stranger things. The last rose of summer. When Irish eyes are smiling…. January 31, 2012. I’m so excited! I finally managed to finish the pattern for the shawl. I knit last spring (and which, incidentally, got me the second place in the St. Patrick’s Day contest I designed it for.) My wonderful sister helped me – thank you! And not only that – I published it on Ravelry as a free pattern: Irish Eyelets. This entry was posted in knitting. The last rose of summer.

Knittin' it up. KIPs, WIPs and stranger things. Next year →. December 31, 2011. Last night I finished this:. I designed it for Episode 3 of Project Spinway (which I mentioned here. Where our challenge was to design a garment that could be on the cover of Knitcircus. And to spin a yarn for it. (Not for actual publication, but Jaala, the editor of Knitcircus, was the guest judge and also gave us valuable feedback on what kind of designs she would consider if they were submitted.). Next year →. Address neve...

Of course at the end of each episode, a winner is chosen, but luckily we don’t have eliminations or negative comments. But only the people who place first or se...Contrib...
The wearing of the green | Knittin' it up

Knittin' it up. KIPs, WIPs and stranger things. This is the life →. The wearing of the green. March 20, 2011. This week I finished my shawl, and just in time for St. Patrick’s Day:. There was much ripping back and changing of the design involved, but I’m really excited about how it turned out in the end. I ended up not using pre-strung beads after all as they were too far apart in the pattern to be convenient. I think they actually stand out more this way. I’m fully back in shawl knitting mode!

The ongoing adventures of a thirty-something, French-speaking scifi geek knitter dude! Wednesday, October 5, 2011. In the midst of knitting up some catnip-stuffed cat toys. I take a moment to snap a few Instagram pics of the kitties. Without Steve Jobs, none of us would have died of dysentery on the Oregon Trail. Apple IIe, y'all. I bring up my Twitter client and begin scanning through the news posts, confirming what I can hardly believe. Ladies and gentlemen, Steve Jobs has left the building. Enter the ...

Random rantings of a knitting carpenter chick. It's finally coming together. That I didn't finish before I moved in that I figured I could work on when I had the chance. The project? Putting up some trim in the dining room. Still not completed, but I'll get to it in the spring hopefully. The room? By the time I moved in. So, for the last eight months (wow.I had no idea I've lived there that long already! Rooms and their furniture just kind of fell into place. This room literally tortured me. I co...So, I...

July 19th, 2011. She was pretty and so skinny. I am neither of those things. I asked a mutual friend about her and all he said was that she was cute. But this mutual friend said it in a way that made it seem like he was proud of him for finding someone so cute. I know I am not cute, but I don't need people who are supposed to be my friends shoving it in my face on top of getting lied to by someone I really cared about. Posted via LiveJournal app for iPhone. The Knit Sitch | Just another WordPress.com site
Just another WordPress.com site. Who are the Knittas 4 Life? Did you know that 90 percent of women have one or more risk factors for developing heart disease? Sadly, we did. Because one of us lost her mom to heart disease way too early, and another came damn close when her mom had to have a heart transplant. It’s scary. And it’s sad. So, when La Femme Knitkita told the rest of the Knittas she wanted to do something for “ Wear Red for Women. Want to help too? Or the Mid-Michigan Chapter. I’ll admit,...

Lauantai 7. tammikuuta 2017. Jatkoin suoraan neulomista 48 rivin verran, kunnes tein kärkikavennukset. Lanka: Novita Joki (ja sininen väri Huopasta). Edellinen pakkasille tekemäni...
