Knitterpated: If You Were Any Closer The Wool Would Bite You
http://knitterpated.blogspot.com/2008/10/if-you-were-any-closer-wool-would-bite.html
Monday, October 20, 2008. If You Were Any Closer The Wool Would Bite You. Note: This may only be funny if you have been to a large fiber festival, the kind where you are overwhelmed by the number of vendors and the amount of roving and yarn and all that goes with it. The kind where you are virtually surrounded by wool. Pointing to yarn) Excuse me, could you tell me where you bought that? Sure- it's from Brooks Farms. Woman: (confused) No- I mean where did you find it? Where is the wool? AT yahoo DOT com.
Knitterpated: Just a few more lines rows
http://knitterpated.blogspot.com/2008/06/just-few-more-lines-rows.html
Sunday, June 08, 2008. Just a few more. A few days ago I sat down at the dining room table to knit a couple of rows on a sock. It was about 5:30 pm, so knitting wasn't really what I should have been doing; dinner was not prepared and the kids were squabbling and the house was a mess, but well, there you have it. There was a long pause, and then he asked, "Is that similar to doing a few lines? A little healthier," I told him, "but almost as addictive.". AT yahoo DOT com.
Knitterpated: Three Things on A Tuesday
http://knitterpated.blogspot.com/2008/06/three-things-on-tuesday.html
Tuesday, June 03, 2008. Three Things on A Tuesday. The good news is that instead of "celebrating" my birthday at work today, I am at home. The bad news is that I am at home because my youngest threw up in the car on the way to school. Thankfully, she is not terribly ill and she is managing to create My Little Pony and Princess Barbie vignettes throughout the house without problem. Which means that I was able to find a few minutes to take and upload pictures. The yarn is Araucania Ranco Multi. And I am ab...

Knitterpated: Best Birthday Gift
http://knitterpated.blogspot.com/2008/06/best-birthday-gift.html
Wednesday, June 04, 2008. Or maybe it's my grandmother's sewing cabinet, lovingly repaired by my husband as my birthday gift. Those holes in our jeans.). While DH honed his woodworking skills and tackled other projects. Then, a few months ago he pulled it out and made new tops for it, including these perfectly shaped handles. He also had to do some creative repairs on the side edges, involving much measuring, cutting, gluing, and sanding. See that little piece he had to fit in there? Am I lucky, or what?

A blog to serve the needs of the infertile lesbian fiber arts former-breastfeeding parents of neurodiverse twins community, particularly those who are left-leaning democrats employed in research and education. Don't all comment at once, we don't want to crash the server. April 28, 2008. Like that. Which is to say, sorry. And whoops. Also, Hi! How have you been? A throng of knitters came to my town this weekend but I missed them because I was throwing money at a mouse. And school problems and stuff? Anywa...

Monday, February 28, 2005. Beads and a NEW LYS. Saturday I took a Beaded knitting class. The class was sponsored by Camellia City Stockinettes (local guild) and taught by Kaedean. I didn't finish this as I had to leave a few minutes early since a friend of ours (Pieter) was having a surprise birthday party for his wife (the big 30). Coming up. Beaded Stitch Markers. There is a new LYS here in the Sacramento area, Babetta's Yarn and Gifts. They have a nice selection for only being open for one month. ...

Don't all comment at once, we don't want to crash the server. February 29, 2008. The pain of return has been softened somewhat by a great pajama dance party tonight with Dan Zanes. I'm off Sunday for a 24-hour whirlwind business trip. No chance of yarn crawling, but with so little knitting goin...

mamacate: The Reason for the Season

Don't all comment at once, we don't want to crash the server. December 21, 2005. The Reason for the Season. About that. It's about whether you will. Long-term, in that state. And between that, and where I and probably everyone reading this lives, is an unfathomable gulf. There's a lot of whining.

The Knitter of Shiny Things Knits and Spins!
The Knitter of Shiny Things Knits and Spins! A place where I can talk about knitting shiny things. Tuesday, June 19, 2012. It's been forever since I've posted here. I've been doing a lot of things. Mostly dyeing. I bought a bunch of silk (9lbs, to be exact) and learned how to dye silk. Which is actually very easy, provided you soak it for 12 hours in hot water with some soap before you apply the dye. This is from my most recent batch:. And I would highly recommend checking it out. Knitter of shiny things.

Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Fear of the mommy blog. This blog has not been stalled for lack of content. As a matter of fact, I have oodles of things to show you and talk about. No, dear reader, this blog has been stalled by fear. Fear of the "mommy blog"! Here I go again with my labeling issues. There's something about adding the word "mommy" to things that I just find so off-putting. Mommy-and-me swim time! Mommies in motion exercise class! Because I'm not a woman anymore., I'm a Mom! Converting my "studio"...

Knitting my passion and dreams . Friday, March 15, 2013. Hi, just to share with you the progress in my little garden. The sweet potatoes are growing well but haven't found any turnips yet. Yay! Sunday, January 6, 2013. My first project of the year is two crocheted Stitchy Scrubbies from Crochet Today March April 2009 issue. I simply fall in love with the popcorn stitch that just pops up! Maybe can just hang them as decoration! The back of the scrubbies. Friday, January 4, 2013. A set on Flickr. A glimpse...

Tuesday, February 24, 2009. My mostly dormant blog got all kinds of unusual activity this week, which is strange, but when I checked it out, I immediately figured out why: that "Andrea Needs" meme has been going around the web once again. Funny. I was actually thinking about blogging lately, as a matter of fact, because in addition to knitting, I've been learning to sew! And so I've been sewing things like this:. Posted by Andrea at 7:09 AM. Wednesday, May 07, 2008. I didn't think so.). So, I've actually...
KnitterPhreek | Knitting, Knitting, and more Knitting!!! and now Spinning, Spinning, and more Spinning!
Knitting, Knitting, and more Knitting! And now Spinning, Spinning, and more Spinning! SPA Spin and Knit 2012. What a relaxing weekend, till I got home, but we’ll get to that later. Told me I needed it :o). Not the exact right weight of yarn, but I liked the feel of the swatch and I was getting gauge, so I’m hoping it will work out. Anyway, later on I went for walkabout town, visited the Beading Path, among other shops. Anyway, then I went to the market place and liberated this stuff from the mean old ven...
Knitter's space | Just another WordPress.com site
Just another WordPress.com site. So I recently mentioned a DIY dry shampoo I am using. This triggered a lot of questions, both online and irl. This being the case, I took some pix while doing my hair. Note: I have a quite oily scalp. If I do not use some kind of dry shampoo, I Will be washing my hair. So, here we are. I will include links in case you’d like to try it yourself. This is the end of my day, just before workout. Then I pulled it up, and went for a run, top show fully what this stuff can do.

Friday, March 20, 2015. Purple Rain Granny Square Blanket. After posting about Phi's rainbow granny square blanket a friend in Illinois asked if I could make her one but in purples. I was happy to do it. This time I used thick more wool yarn and a more holey square pattern. I used 3 different colors, 2 skeins. I used purple, dusty purple and eggplant. I was able to make 36 squares in all with 3 made up of all 3 colors combined. Here are the squares begging to be joined. Tuesday, February 3, 2015. I made ...
