Knitting Architecture

Sunday, 7 June 2015. Knitting Preston Bus Station. Hi i'm back, and i'm knitting Preston Bus Station. First the formwork, cut out of foam on a hot-wire. Then a sample, its quite straight forward. Now i've started on the PBS proper. It's simple but the rows are long! Tuesday, 5 March 2013. More images of the Gherkin. Photo by P. Lathey. Here are some more images of the Gherkin kindly taken by Peter Lathey. Hope you like them. Photo by P. Lathey. Photo by P.Lathey. Tuesday, 5 February 2013. This is the new...

Knitting Architecture: June 2011

http://www.knittingarchitecture.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Saturday, 25 June 2011. There are many knitted things on the web these days, but not much knitted Architecture. In order to redress this imbalance I have started knitting Classical Orders. I started with the Ionic working from memory. Then continued with the corinthian capital. For this one i used Banister Fletcher. It is difficult to make acanthus leaves look as if they are made of stone, they tend to take a more natural look in the medium of wool. Anyway it is very photogenic. Thats it for now.

Knitting a ranch house - Blog

Knitting a ranch house. Look Ma, No Hands. Well one hand actually. The day after my last post I ended up having a baby 5 weeks early so everything I do right now is clumsily done with one hand. The downside of this is that it takes me forever to do anything. The upside is that I have so many more hours in the day that I am awake to do those things. I have a backlog of unblogged projects and thought I'd try out the weebly phone app and post something. Bad Thread/Good Dress - Amber Nursing and Maternity Top.

Sunday, October 31, 2010. And locate a charger (very determined). I haven't been able to post photos of my new adventures - SPINNING! So far I've done a little spindling (thought I would be more coordinated - maybe it will all come together very soon). I've sat at several spinning wheels and checked out the treadle. On them. Yes, this is Rt. 66, I took this pic while driving back to work from lunch. The Mother Road is my favorite road because I can eat at places like the Metro Diner on this road. The Metro Diner has the BEST breakfast for not a whole lotta money! The sign there reads "Elvis eats here". I also like the Mother Road because in or not too far from Tulsa you can see things like these:.
