This is the first blossom on the melons . a cantaloupe, Jeff says. Another plant also has a blossom. Whether or not they'll actually form and ripen into a melon remains to be seen. No sign of a watermelon. I started out the season by planting pre-seeded. Flower strips (that had been a gift). In the tops of the corner boxes. You can really ...

Friday, June 26, 2009. An Update from the Intern Desk. I have some free time here at WOGL so I will write you from the intern cubby. This internship is great. I'm dabbling in all the things that hopefully will get me a job in radio. I work in promotions and then I'm just starting to break in the production side of things. I got to do my first big market voice-over! The spot was for an overactive bladder research panel, but hell, I'll take what i can get! Do i know how the hell to use an iphone? Yes But t...

When you're stuck at home (6 miles from town) without a car you better have something to do. I'm lucky because my Yarn Stash is fairly full so I can knit. Links to Stuff and Other Stuff. I updated the favicon. Well, I made a favicon. :-). Work Work. Work. And, alone again, naturally. At least at work again. We had the two toddlers I already informed you of, then we had the incredible disappearing employee (didn't even come back for a couple days worth of pay, what's up with that? And then a precious wilting violet. Alas, it leaves little time for the website and the crafting. I am trying to get something big in the works. Proudly powered by Weebly.

Thinking, reading, and writing about knitting. Monday, December 26, 2011. Merry Mukluks and Happy Warm Feet. When you knit the same pattern several times in a short period - say eleven pairs of mukluks between Thanksgiving and Christmas - the repetition leads to perfection or errors-of-distraction or both. Knitting Mama of 3
Sunday, February 19, 2017. Sophie's Universe is rocking my world! So for Christmas I decided to crochet up a bunch of owl hats for my nieces. I haven't crocheted much in years. Well, the hooker in me went wild. I then decided to make my first crocheted afghan. So I whipped up a bunch of generic granny squares and made my youngest her blanket she's been asking for for years. I didn't stop there! Me, being me, I had to go big or go home! And here's my work so far. Links to this post. Monday, January 5, 2015.
