Knittin' in Particular: September 2011

http://knittininparticular.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. Psalm 139:13. Actually, I have quite a few more projects than this on the needles, but these are the ones I am actively working on just now. Project Shrug: I am doing this one along with Maggie. I guess I didn't print out the pattern for this one because it's pretty much a rectangle. You can see what I'm making here. Thanks to Sarah for picking the color for me by name over the phone.good choice! The color is called Arcadia.

Knittin' in Particular: Team Crochet Project!

http://knittininparticular.blogspot.com/2012/08/team-crochet-project.html

For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. Psalm 139:13. This throw pattern was in my last Crochet Today magazine, and I thought it was really cute, so I decided to make one. Then I called my sister, Maggie, who also crochets to see if she wanted to make one too - she did! This one is Mom's. This one is Maggie's. And here is Sarah's! You can see we all picked totally different color combos and it's been fun seeing how they all are turning out! View my complete profile.

Knittin' in Particular: Progress on One Sweater

http://knittininparticular.blogspot.com/2012/02/progress-on-one-sweater.html

For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. Psalm 139:13. Progress on One Sweater. Here is my Amazing sweater body all pinned out. This is the most recent picture of my progress, even though I now have also blocked the sleeves and sewn the shoulders together. I gotta get another skein of the yarn to put the collar in, then I can finish sewing it up! This was my first experience with blocking. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Knittin' in Particular: July 2011

http://knittininparticular.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html

For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. Psalm 139:13. Finally found something to be knitting on at the beach. Went to a little book/yarn store yesterday and got this yarn called "Flounce". The lady in the shop showed us how to knit with it and I started my scarf about half an hour ago. It comes out nice and ruffly (sp? The pic looks kind of bluish, but the yarn is actually purples (of course! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Our Blog: May 2011

http://thecarlsons.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Just a few highlights in our life together. Sunday, May 01, 2011. So, we got this Geocaching app on our iPods and we've been hunting down a few in the last few days. Might have to be a bit more selective if we don't want to get poison ivy! It's fun to see what people have left and how many people have found the caches. Today we found one at Lake Julian when we went there for our picnic lunch. I left a little fortune-teller fish and took these glittery stars :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Finally got SO done with the white walls and got out the paintbrushes and rollers and got busy! We've been painting as our time allows and over a couple weeks have gotten the trim and walls in the foyer and great room sanded, cleaned and double-coated! It looks so much nicer in here now! Our Blog: November 2011

http://thecarlsons.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

Just a few highlights in our life together. Friday, November 04, 2011. BEFORE: look at that big bare wall! We looked at it for 2 years, but I finally figured out what to do with it. DURING: Here are the shelves up. It still looked a little bare, but I like being able to see the wall color through the shelves. We got the shelves at IKEA :). It was a lot of fun unpacking and arranging everything! Gonna have to re-do it with some holiday decor pretty soon. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). To tell us about it!

To knit or not to knit

To knit or not to knit. Wednesday, July 12, 2006. Ok, ok, purses are a weakness for me. But in my defense, they are easy, quick and they always fit. Here's the front pieces. I am now knitting the back and then there is the finishing. Argh, not my favorite thing. But hopefully it will be quick and easy to finish, or you will hear the whining. Posted by Sandy @ 10:26 PM. Monday, May 22, 2006. It's not a rug. Posted by Sandy @ 7:14 AM. Monday, May 15, 2006. Spring Fling bag 3. Posted by Sandy @ 7:04 AM.

Knittini - A knitty therapy of sorts...

Knittini - A knitty therapy of sorts. An avid knitter, an eccentric woman, a rambler. I spend most of my time with my knitting, my boyfriend, my best friends or my dog. May 11, 2008. I finally finished the baby romper for Jessamyn's. Peanut, and I gave it to her at her baby shower. It came out sooo cute. I was stumped. Then I found Argosy. I picked up some JoJoLand superwash fingering weight. Yarn and got right to it. Very fun and quick knit, perfect pattern repeat for someone of my attention level.

This is my third pair of grown-up socks :) The yarn is Knitpicks Felici and the colorway is called "Time Traveler".so I reversed the stripe order on the second one, with the idea that one was going into the future and the other into the past. This one is Mom's. This one is Maggie's. And here is Sarah's! You can see we all picked totally different color combos and it's been fun seeing how they all are turning out!

knittin' it is | kindness, beauty and truth

Knittin’ it is. Kindness, beauty and truth. Today, Tiesan Café @ Curved Street, in Filmbase, opened for the first time on a weekend. As soon as I found out that they would open, I started spreading the word to the knitters out there, because Tiesan had been promising that since March. All went well, even though there was a book/vinyl fair going on and our space was a bit limited, but all in all we were eight knitters and stitchers altogether, it was lovely and fun and great! This is what is happening:.

Knittin' Jazz

Knitting with enthusiasm and a bit of nonsense. Friday, February 22, 2008. My first Stitches yarn orgy, I mean festival. Yes there was yarn you wanted to roll around in, so orgy did come to mind. We arrived before 9 am and waited in line for the ticket window to open. We - my DH and I. This was my Valentine's present. DH drove and stayed with me during the dazzling day. He was great company and help. First stop was of course, Ravelry. Casey and Jess - delightful to meet these friendly founders! But the m...
