Admittedly, it's an acquired taste. Tuesday, November 15, 2011. It's Dark in Here. I remember when I started this blog. I was feeling alone, isolated and frustrated. Admittedly, it's an acquired taste. Friday, July 17, 2009. Everything Old is New Again. FO: Spring Forward Socks. Yarn: SR Kertzer On Your Toes! Notes: Fast, fun pattern! Ran out of yarn just before closing off the second toe. Used a scrap from the stash to finish it up. Those of you who are regular readers (who am I kidding? In a really lovely cordovan brown wool. It didn't fit. Enter the ball winder. Skippy, while watching me unravel an entire completed. Well, that's not the point, is it? So, Cambridge...

Admittedly, it's an acquired taste. Monday, April 18, 2005. Please refrain from licking the house. So, we had our home tested for lead last week. The interior is okay; there's lead a few layers down especially on windows, etc. But the exterior is LEAD PAINT! I knew there was a reason I hadn't gotten out to start on the yard. So it is looking like we will be looking into encasement options and when the full report comes back, we will know more about our options as far as landscaping are concerned.

http://knittinsnit.blogspot.com/2009/02/whats-that-clicking-noise.html

Admittedly, it's an acquired taste. Saturday, February 14, 2009. What's That Clicking Noise? Finished Must Have Cardigan and some mittens in progress. Must Have Cardigan from Patons Street Smart. Mods: Worked the diamond crossings to mirror each other. Otherwise, knit as writ. The buttons are a bit small, but I couldn't find any I liked in the correct size, so I'll just snug up the buttonholes. The mittens are Pattern 8 from Knitting Marvelous Mittens by Charlene Schurch. Bulldog Knits: July 2005

Sunday, July 31, 2005. Ribbon Sweater Takes Shape! The gals at the shop said they swear by Button Emporium. Which I've never been to, so there's something else to look forward to! As ready as I am for this to be done I really am enjoying the process. Posted by msubulldog @ 6:15 PM. Saturday, July 30, 2005. I ran across a woman named Teri who posted this question on her blog. And I had to answer. Where's the most extreme place you've knitted? In our airplane, of course! Posted by msubulldog @ 8:51 AM.

Knittin' Mom: December 2005

http://knittinmom.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html

Friday, December 30, 2005. Over the Rockies and through Minneapolis. To grandmother's house we go. The pilot knows the way to steer the plane through rain and possibly sno-ow! I do have a few things to blog about before we leave the civilized world. First, I'm finally getting around to posting pictures of my wonderful Secret Santa gift. Sydney loves her bear so much, she's been sleeping with it. And she never sleeps with stuffed animals! Before they sold out. I was stupid and didn't check the yardage, so...

I see a resemblance, anyway. This is the kind of picture I would have blown up to wall size and put up like wallpaper all over in my house. It's breathtaking. I finished two quilts in two months and made a big dent in another this weekend. I also learned how to make folded oragami fabric flowers and how to use paintsticks to create custom fabric! Never in a million years. Wednesday, October 26, 2005. I found a dead mouse in my slipper last night. I put my foot in my slipper and. boom. Dead mouse in there. Why now? I've already been creeped out by my naked tree in the back yard, being awoken in the night by what I was sure was a door shutting in my house, and all the scary previews for Halloween movies I'll never see; and now a dead thing in my kitchen? Posted by Skiptastic @ 11:41 AM. Saturday, October 22, 2005. Well, not so much with the apples.

Never in a million years. Friday, February 17, 2006. I'm hoping to visit my Auntie over the weekend and maybe con her into helping me tie the pink quilt. She suggested quilting it as she has a bit of a quilting set-up, but I don't know if I want to spend that kind of time. I'd rather just get it done. It was an impromptu thing, not really planned and I'd like to be done with it. Posted by Skiptastic @ 2:43 PM. Thursday, February 16, 2006. Like, so cool man. That's a shark embryo! Never in a million years. Thursday, April 27, 2006. It's a good thing I listened to friends and family, we've had a bit of a cool snap lately and anything I would have planted would surely be dead now. Only a couple of weekends to go before I can get out there and get planting, so I just need to keep myself busy until then. On the advice of BK I bought the Big Girl Knits book, which arrived yesterday. It's a great book, with beautiful patterns. I want to learn to read those pesky patterns now! My tulips ...

Monday, February 05, 2007. I was also on vacation this past week. I had to roll over a weeks worth of time from last year because I couldn't take it in December like I had planned. Since we were moving to the new branch I thought that it would not be fair to leave the branch. So I took it the week of my birthday. I watched movies and TV while I was off. I was happy to sit on the couch and just veg out. As I was doing the payroll today, I noticed that I have a total of 160 hours of vacation this year!
