the knitty professors: This Baby Quilt is Totes Adorbs
http://www.knittyprofessors.com/2014/10/this-baby-quilt-is-totes-adorbs.html
Yarns, needles, hooks, books, and occasional philosophizing. Friday, October 10, 2014. This Baby Quilt is Totes Adorbs. It turns out that somehow most of my friends are amazingly talented crafters. Want some evidence? Check out this adorable quilt for P. that my semi-regular crafting group put together. Everyone in the craft group made a couple of squares. Notice the "Hey Diddle Diddle" theme? The quilt also features a snake, since P. was born in the year of the snake or "Little Dragon.".
the knitty professors: Free Pattern: Seagrove Coffee Cozy
http://www.knittyprofessors.com/2014/11/free-pattern.html
Yarns, needles, hooks, books, and occasional philosophizing. Thursday, November 13, 2014. Free Pattern: Seagrove Coffee Cozy. A few weeks ago, I bought this cool ceramic coffee mug at the local co-op. Made by a local potter, it's perfect for my new resolution, which is to spend less on coffee by making it at home. So far, so good, except for one thing: it got too hot to hold. That's where this simple knit coffee cozy comes in. So, without further ado, here is the pattern. Needle for weaving in ends.
the knitty professors: Fall Renewal
http://www.knittyprofessors.com/2014/11/fall-renewal.html
Yarns, needles, hooks, books, and occasional philosophizing. Saturday, November 1, 2014. For many, spring is the season that best represents renewal. But for us knitters, autumn is the time we find most rejuvenating: a time for new projects, new yarn, and another chance to break out our favorite knits. Here at KnittyProfessors, we are celebrating fall with a refreshed blog design. With this project done, we'll be able to cast on (hrr hrr) for some new endeavors. The construction is neat: you start with t...

Yarns, needles, hooks, books, and occasional philosophizing. Sunday, November 30, 2014. Weekend Project: Upholstered Storage Bench. I've had this bench in my living room for a while, and unfortunately it got chewed up by my puppy, Cooper. This weekend I decided to make it over for additional playroom storage. And here's the after:. The fabric was from my stash. I also used this fabric for a DIY Boppy pillow, shown in these nursery pics. I used the directions from this blog post. Links to this post. Now I...

Yarns: December 2009
http://karako17.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 25, 2009. Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate it! Another huge thing I've wanted is a Garmin Forerunner GPS watch. I'm planning to do another marathon this year (at least 1, maybe 2) and maybe some half marathons and so having this watch is great! Sunday, December 20, 2009. Thank goodness for friends with spare keys! I was pretty disappointed with the mall. My xmas gifts consist of knitted items and books and can you believe it? So we get home and snow is everywhere. My mother imm...

Saturday, February 27, 2010. Hot off the presses. I've released a new pattern. It's the Jay Street Slouch. This hat is knit in worsted weight yarn. It's photographed in Malabrigo Merino Worsted (colorwary: Rhodesian). The pattern can be downloaded from ravelry (click link above) or from the sidebar of this blog (both ravelry and non-ravelry users can use that link). Snowpocalype - The Sequel. Then I had a dream job, working one day a week at a yarn shop. This led to meeting a lovely woman who provide...
Yarns: March 2010
http://karako17.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Well yesterday was a crazy day. Back on Feb 22 I applied for a job with World Teach. The interviews went well but they were phone interviews so you can't really be sure that it all went as you might interpret. So I was happily surprised when at 6pm I received the following in an email: "It is my pleasure to offer you the position of Ecuador Summer Program Coordinator." Then mid-reading the email my phone rang and it was them saying that I'd gotten the job. Yippee! This is way l...

http://cedarstrings.blogspot.com/2010_09_26_archive.html
Sunday, September 26, 2010. Twist and Knit [T&K-001]. This is not an advertisement for MimKnits; her knitting sensibility is amazing and her patterns speak for themselves. However, her latest endeavor is a revolution and a revelation in craft books in general. How many times have you wanted to use a pattern from a beautiful book, then struggled to make a working photocopy without damaging the binding to flatten the pages onto the copier? For an extra $2.00,. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
Cedar Strings: Indian Cross Stitch « The Walker Treasury Project
http://cedarstrings.blogspot.com/2010/09/indian-cross-stitch-walker-treasury.html
Thursday, September 16, 2010. Indian Cross Stitch « The Walker Treasury Project. Indian Cross Stitch « The Walker Treasury Project. The indian cross stitch is super for ribbon yarns. you get to see the ribbon and colors so much better. When Lion Brand first came out with a ribbon yarn, i immediately made a scarf. (i lost it a few years later (i think the lose was partly my carelesness, and partly someone helping themselves) great stitch! November 24, 2010 at 11:09 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Knitty Pilgrim
Monday, December 15, 2008. Gentle Reader, as anyone who has visited this vicinity with any regularity will know, the Knitty Pilgrim is strongly biased towards anything Noro. A quick review of recent postings will attest to this fact. Indeed, four of these last five musings have been devoted to Noro creations of one stripe or other. Y lovely to look at, but economical as well. Well suited to these turbulent times, don't you agree? Noro Kureyon Sock Yarn #S236. US #3 circular needles. Crazy Mixed Up Sox.

Kirsten and Jen's Knitalong!
Kirsten and Jen's Knitalong! Sunday, March 19, 2006. I changed the look of the blog - hope you like it. I was feeling springy and green. Green, like Chris Tucker in The Fifth Element? Today I finished the cat bed and felted it. My goal for the next week is to work on Clapotis as much as I can, and finish Tifany's socks. Then I can knit myself some socks. Baby steps, Bob. Baby steps. Hope all is well! Posted by Jen at 9:55 PM. Friday, February 24, 2006. Posted by k at 12:56 PM. Wednesday, February 22, 2006.

Tales of Knitting, Bead Work, and Stash Busting, and Great Books. Thursday, September 27, 2007. Nearing the end of September. Looking back over the month of September I can say that I feel satisfied with the progress I have made. I actually had TWO finishes. Amazing, for me! First, I finished the Knit for Kids Sweater I had started months ago. That will be shipped off to Guideposts as part of the Knit for Kids Project. I did a stunning bracelet for "September.". In September things become more subdued...

Knitty Ripper
I'm certain I have some sort of knitting mania. Friday, October 2, 2009. I’ve decided to merge my two blogs, mostly because I’m too lazy to update both, so now there is only Indiscriminate Postings. I will leave Knitty Ripper up, but any future knitting posts will be made to that blog instead, since knitty things could be considered indiscriminate, but not all indiscriminate things are knitty. Make sense? So anyway, I'm still around. Head over there for more posts coming soon. Thursday, August 13, 2009.

It's a Knitty Scrappy Life
It's a Knitty Scrappy Life. I am an all around crafter. There are very few crafts I haven't tried and even those are awfully tempting. My current obsessions are scrapbooking and knitting and I would love to share them with you. Friday, April 03, 2009. Knit One Below. Great Book. I saw the book Knit One Below. I can't wait to see how it looks on my daughter once it is dry. Maybe she can even wear it to church on Sunday given that we are evidently forecasted to. Thursday, April 02, 2009. Back to the Blog.
