Knitty Pilgrim: Once more into the stash...

http://knittypilgrim.blogspot.com/2008/03/once-more-into-stash.html

Sunday, March 23, 2008. Once more into the stash. Continuing one's stashbusting ritual, the Pilgrim came across a few random skeins of his beloved Noro Silk Garden: five of them, in fact, in the same color scheme, crying out for attention. What to do with them, one didn't have a clue. And so, taking up needles, the Pilgrim started to play. Here we have the beginnings of a bias-knit, diagonal striping garter stitch scarf. And so far, so good: if I do say so myself, a most auspicious start!

Knitty Pilgrim: Finished Object - Noro Blanket

http://knittypilgrim.blogspot.com/2008/09/finished-object-noro-blanket.html

Monday, September 15, 2008. Finished Object - Noro Blanket. The Pilgrim is quite pleased to report that the new Noro blanket is now complete. I will admit that at the outset I was a tad worried that the Kureyon might prove to be a bit scratchy (the Pilgrim has worked mostly with Silk Garden until now), but indeed it is not. It is, in fact, quite soft and cuddly and, therefore, perfect for throwing over the legs as needed. Enjoy the above photo, depicting the finished object. I believe it "works," no?

Knitty Pilgrim: Diagarter Scarf

http://knittypilgrim.blogspot.com/2008/08/diagarter-scarf.html

Monday, August 11, 2008. A while back, you may recall, the Pilgrim shared a stash-busting experiment - the Diagonal Garter Scarf. Which was a playful way to use up some lovely Noro Silk Garden that for many months had been hanging out in the limbo land of the yarn closet. Well, it is finished, and I believe the auspicious start proved right. Tis a scarf a Pilgrim will wear with some satisfaction, should winter ever decide to come. Only what one can do, one supposes. Will (eastbaywill at Men Who Crochet).

Knitty Pilgrim: October 2008

http://knittypilgrim.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

Saturday, October 4, 2008. Crazy Mixed Up Sox. Pleased, as ever, to share with you, Gentle Reader, my latest finished object - the Crazy Mixed Up Sox, knitted from a single skein of Noro Silk Garden Sock. As you may surmise, the Pilgrim wound the skein into a single center-pull ball, and then pulled alternately from each end of the ball to achieve the playful alternating striping. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Adventures in knittery and, occasionally, a good yarn. A work in progress. Crazy Mixed Up Sox.

Knitty Pilgrim: Noro Newness

http://knittypilgrim.blogspot.com/2008/09/noro-newness.html

Monday, September 1, 2008. Once upon a time, some of you may recall, the Pilgrim embarked on a blanket project dubbed the Piggyback Throw. It was an auspicious start, and a lot of fun to watch it grow. Sadly, that effort ended badly, a casualty of the great neighbor renovation debacle of 2007. Which, as previously reported, soiled much of the Pilgrim's stash with a thick coating of plaster dust rendering much of it, including the Piggyback Throw, hopelessly, irretrievably unusable. It is so beautiful.

A little bit about knitting. Jan 22, 2007. Well, after lots of frustration, some good advice, and a bit of thought, I decided to give Typepad. A try Come on over and see what you think. Posted by Knittypants at Monday, January 22, 2007. Feb 21, 2006. Well, I have been accused of being brave for just cutting off my ribbing (no, just lazy) and have been asked for a tutorial. I have always wanted to do a tutorial, I'm kind of a geek that way. So here it is. Here lies my Gigi swatch awaiting surgery. And, al...

A little bit about knitting. Fiona wears a dress. My So Called Scarf Part Deux. Shetland Triangle Take 2. Subscribe in a reader. October 16, 2008. This is one of the items sewn for Kaelen over the summer. It was actually supposed to have sleeves, but the armholes ended up being quite tight so I made it a tank instead. By the way isn't this girl pretty! I think she should be modeling all of my stuff, she makes it look so good. Posted at 03:59 PM. October 14, 2008. Fiona wears a dress. So today, I plan to ...

Random babbling of a Stay At Home Mother: Obsessed with Photography and Knitting- Training for the Run! Friday, November 26, 2010. This morning, I got out of bed and faced the hustle and chaos of being a mother. "He is touching me" "She took my toy" "Moooooom! At times, I am at the end of my rope and just want to escape. I run the constant marathon of being a mother, a wife. a friend. Sometimes, in the middle of all the chaos, I stop and look in the mirror and wonder: Who is this person? She was a fighter.

Knitty Pilgrim

Monday, December 15, 2008. Gentle Reader, as anyone who has visited this vicinity with any regularity will know, the Knitty Pilgrim is strongly biased towards anything Noro. A quick review of recent postings will attest to this fact. Indeed, four of these last five musings have been devoted to Noro creations of one stripe or other. Y lovely to look at, but economical as well. Well suited to these turbulent times, don't you agree? Noro Kureyon Sock Yarn #S236. US #3 circular needles. Crazy Mixed Up Sox.

Kirsten and Jen's Knitalong!

Kirsten and Jen's Knitalong! Sunday, March 19, 2006. I changed the look of the blog - hope you like it. I was feeling springy and green. Green, like Chris Tucker in The Fifth Element? Today I finished the cat bed and felted it. My goal for the next week is to work on Clapotis as much as I can, and finish Tifany's socks. Then I can knit myself some socks. Baby steps, Bob. Baby steps. Hope all is well! Posted by Jen at 9:55 PM. Friday, February 24, 2006. Posted by k at 12:56 PM. Wednesday, February 22, 2006.

Tales of Knitting, Bead Work, and Stash Busting, and Great Books. Thursday, September 27, 2007. Nearing the end of September. Looking back over the month of September I can say that I feel satisfied with the progress I have made. I actually had TWO finishes. Amazing, for me! First, I finished the Knit for Kids Sweater I had started months ago. That will be shipped off to Guideposts as part of the Knit for Kids Project. I did a stunning bracelet for "September.". In September things become more subdued&#4...
