KodachromeKnits: Great Loves, Present and Past
http://kodachromeknits.blogspot.com/2008/02/great-loves-present-and-past.html
Friday, February 15, 2008. Great Loves, Present and Past. This is Coltrane, our newest family member. We rescued him from the local pound- he'd been there for 30 days and we adopted him on day 31. He's about 7 months old, and full of beans and love. I've never met such a dog who *loves* to cuddle more than anything. I suppose 30 days in jail will do that to a fella. And forever in our memory and our hearts is our Mingus, who past 23 December 2006. We love you Mingus! Subscribe to: Comment Feed (RSS).

Many things have occured that have taken me away from my blog and knitting, though I have still been reading all of you (just silently) and knitting vicariously through you. Miss you all, and hope you are having a good summer thus far. KodachromeKnits: February 2007
http://kodachromeknits.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 26, 2007. WIP It Girl": Or, A Tale of Works In Progress. So I've begun Forecast. Here's a close-up of the 3-stitch bobble that I'm using, a popular adaptation ever since (I think) Winnie's version of Forecast first appeared. Here's Forecast a bit further along, now resting outside. I'm using Cascade 220 (for the first time) and I'm loving it. Can you tell that I'm in love with this pattern, and that I'm loving taking pictures of it? Other things as WIPS: the My So Called Scarf. Was immed...

KodachromeKnits: April 2007
http://kodachromeknits.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 23, 2007. At Last: Kiri. So Long, Kiri. Okay, so I've been remiss in a few things, one being writing up the finishing specs and posting some modelling shots of Kiri. Kiri (free pattern courtesy of All Tangled Up. See sidebar for the PDF). Peruvian Baby Cashmere from Elann. Six balls used of color 3724 (camel). Previously on this shawl. I've actually sent this shawl off to my mother, who is in charge of a church auction. They're trying desperately to raise money to keep the United Church...

KodachromeKnits: November 2007
http://kodachromeknits.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 18, 2007. How easily I am distracted these days. I move from one project (both crafty and academic) to another, but never feel like I'm accomplishing much of anything. For instance, I simply have the sleeves to finish on Rusted Root. And then I'll be done that top. And yet, the top remains (a bit more finished than the state in the photo below) unfinished. So I decided to take the matter into my (crafty) hands- to make my own version of the dress, thinking that I was capable. These two d...

Friday, October 19, 2007. Inspired = New Project Underway. So some cooler weather has finally arrived in the Southwest, and thus Forecast is finally getting to come out of the closet. But let's face it, I'm not going to get too much wear out of Forecast in West Texas (except when I go home to Canada in December for the holidays [YAY! So I'm casting on for a new project which will get much more wear down here on the Panhandle: can you guess? Here's an INSPIRED hint. Have a good weekend everyone-.

KodachromeKnits: December 2006
http://kodachromeknits.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 11, 2006. What I've Been Doing. Where I'll Be Going. Because our families live in different parts of Canada, my partner and I always spend the December holidays apart. He goes one way, with the dog. I go the other way, without the cat. This will be our sixth Christmas together but not together. And I make him something and copy out a new poem I've discovered that year. Even more special about our Christmas this year is that the day fell on the same day as our dandy dog's 12th birthday.
