Kodachrome Konversations: Chocolate Soup.
http://kodachromekonversations.blogspot.com/2012/11/chocolate-soup.html
I had put down The Matches. And then the Pen. I think I found the Parker Pen, and a Pelikano too; but where are the matches? Tuesday, November 27, 2012. I can't cook. Still. I try though. And the results are worse each time. However, the scale of disaster has been much brought under control. This weekend I tried to make chocolate pudding. Just the normal milk-egg-rum-chocolate- flour etc sorts. In a Microwave. Needless to say, I messed up. And I got a whole lot of Chocolate Soup instead. OF obligingly tr...

Kodachrome Konversations: Russell and Joy.
http://kodachromekonversations.blogspot.com/2012/12/russell-and-joy.html
I had put down The Matches. And then the Pen. I think I found the Parker Pen, and a Pelikano too; but where are the matches? Friday, December 7, 2012. Russell and Joy leave for China today. And that makes me feel very sad. Russell and Joy were my first friends in Kenya. They were new-ish to Nairobi when I met them. Joy and I would have never been friends if I were still in my India head orientation. But I think I got too attached to Joy (mad child that she was! And Russel would teach me so many new things!

Egad Little ole indian me, has a lot to learn, and is awfully slow at it! Boundary issues are basically, an American-ism for the good old "respecting privacy", I think. So yes, when it comes to smoking, drugs, peeing in public (indians! Possessive. thats a way of saying you dont want to share! But yes. you can "see" a gadget. he expressed clear d...If I ...

Typing On The Wall: Off The Shelf: 2013
http://typingonthewall.blogspot.com/2013/01/off-shelf-2013.html
Typing On The Wall. A life of words. Monday, 14 January 2013. Off The Shelf: 2013. So I'm going to take a page from Legally Alien. And take part in Off The Shelf. Mainly because I think, like a lot of people I have forgotten the joy in sitting down with a nice fat book and getting lost in the different worlds it contains. Also, it's nice to check off lists. So I'm going for maybe 15 books (The "Trying" Challenge) this year - mainly because I have WAY too many books to finish reading. Off The Shelf: 2013.
Typing On The Wall: January 2013

Typing On The Wall. A life of words. Saturday, 26 January 2013. Disclaimer: This is going to be a random post about the weather. Its cold. Freezing. Arctic. For someone who was born in January, I have a very strange relationship with the cold weather. Most of the time I love it and find heatwaves unbearable - only the ones where there is no breeze and it's just plain dry heat. I do wonder how I survived for 16 years in the hot, humid climate of Calcutta. Anyway. The cold. Also, I would think that sending...

http://typingonthewall.blogspot.com/2013/02/let-music-play.html
Typing On The Wall. A life of words. Saturday, 2 February 2013. Let The Music Play. So, I was thinking about a conversation I had with my friend M about the kind of music I like and remember telling her about how I came to find most of it. Last night, while trying to get to bed, once again, I thought about all this wonderful music and realized that most of it has come to me in a very strange way. So here goes:. Yes I have songs that I've heard on the radio etc but the majority of tracks I love have come ...

Typing On The Wall. A life of words. Friday, 1 March 2013. Off The Shelf.Continued. So It has been absolutely ages since I blogged which doesn't bode well for the whole "I will blog more" policy I have tried to adopt. Ah well. Shall continue trying. Friday, February 15, 2008. Great Loves, Present and Past. This is Coltrane, our newest family member. We rescued him from the local pound- he'd been there for 30 days and we adopted him on day 31. He's about 7 months old, and full of beans and love. I've never met such a dog who *loves* to cuddle more than anything. I suppose 30 days in jail will do that to a fella. And forever in our memory and our hearts is our Mingus, who past 23 December 2006. We love you Mingus! Links to this post. Links to this post.
