I know they were guided by the Spirit to be with us, because having them there to talk to was just added comfort and strength for me. Monday, June 29, 2015. WEEK EIGHT - BIG STUFF! Dear Friends and Family,. Well, this week some big stuff happened. Monday was pretty casual, nothing too crazy, just some hecka good Japanese food for lunch. It really is such a blessing to have the Bartlett sisters so close to us and that we have the opportunity to be such good friends with them. We had Sister Mart try sushi for the first time and she was not a fan! That's okay though, between us we had no problem finishing her meal for her. We continue to ...

Tuesday, July 14, 2009. We spent the 4th of July in Mississippi at Maw Maw and Paw Paw Thomas' house. Cousin Lizzie was there also and we had so fun with all of them. We played on the slip and slide. DeDee used her girls' camp training and made a wonderful fire pit and fire and we roasted marshmallows, made smores and shot off fireworks. The trip was way too short, but we had a wonderful time. Thursday, July 30, 2015. Kinda Uneventful But Working On It! So this week was not as eventful as some past weeks, but we are working on it! Monday was fairly uneventful, except that we did take Sister Mart to get her ears pierced, which was really exciting! Monday, July 19, 2010. Could be the best day of the year - boating fun on Jordanelle. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Things I learned while camping on Orcas Island. There are more than 170 islands in the San Juan Islands, 15 of which are accessible by ferry. There are even more islands at low tide. The San Juan Islands get less rainfall than Seattle, due to the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains. What is a rain shadow? I guess this is part of why I enjoyed Orcas Island and have spent so much time in Sequim.
