Awesome Adventures in Alaska. Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Driving In To The Valdez Fly-In - Part 2. Now for the actual Fly-In photos. What a great Alaskan experience. Park right in front of the airport (albeit a small bush airport), walk right to the tarmac, and even right ONTO the tarmac with minimal security watching your every move. I felt like I was once again experiencing what life USED to be like when people were actually responsible for their own actions and. get this. survived! They were pretty cool.

Just one day after I was on a float plane for the first time, I flew on one for the second time! It was a fairly spur-of-the-moment idea, but that's the way some of the best ideas are, right? We flew into King Salmon, then from King Salmon to Brooks Camp Seaplane Base. It was a beautiful flight under the clouds (it was lightly raining in King Salmon)! Arriving at Brooks Camp.

Game faces are on both the dogs and the humans, but it's still a big party for the spectators. Before we get to the dogs, here's an idea of the rest of the event. Looking "up" the chute. Looking "down" the chute toward the woods. That it's just so normal. To spend a day hanging out on a lake in the winter around here!

The life and times of a busy girl. Wednesday, September 30, 2009. The rest of the inspection was completed this week. The inspector was able to get into the attic and there wasn't any evidence of the leak and so things are really on their way! I've asked the seller to fix the little roof problems and the basement window. The other things were small and I can fix them, plus the seller is quite persnicity and I don't want to get into it with him. I'll let you know how it goes. Sunday, September 20, 2009.

The life and times of a busy girl. Sunday, October 9, 2011. I had an A-MAH-ZING night last night! Can it get better? We took our standing "seats" where we wanted, right front center. We couldn't believe how close we were. Maybe 6-8 ft from the stage. The show started with Sara Bareilles, which was a tad odd for a country concert, but she was good all the same. (left). Then Sugarland came out, this is how they started, and this image is not zoomed! My night was this! I enjoyed every minute.
