James Prescott: Jesus lasts
http://jamespressgang.blogspot.com/2010/11/jesus-lasts.html
Asking the difficult questions about living like Jesus today. Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Have you ever been doing something which you have deemed routine, normal, which you do all the time, and then completely out of the blue, a feeling, thought, insight has suddenly come over you which changed everything? Maybe it's just that I'm a deep thinker, but I get these things often. But I got one on Saturday which was truly life-changing, and opened my eyes to just what God's been doing with me. I know that th...

James Prescott: Embrace blessing, put Jesus first
http://jamespressgang.blogspot.com/2010/11/embrace-blessing-put-jesus-first.html
Asking the difficult questions about living like Jesus today. Saturday, November 06, 2010. Embrace blessing, put Jesus first. I don’t often comment on specific Bible passages, but this one has really stood out for me this week. Check this passage out:. 8220;Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then,. 8221; (Matthew 7 v9-11). I don’t know about you, but I have struggled a lot with this verse. I know I do. But t...

James Prescott: Control
http://jamespressgang.blogspot.com/2010/11/control.html
Asking the difficult questions about living like Jesus today. Monday, November 15, 2010. Today I bought a new album (which shall remain nameless, though as it came out today that narrows it down considerably, especially for those who know me) and as I purchased it in the shop I suddenly had this thought come over me, which has come over me a lot more often recently. 8216;Do I need this? 8216;Why did I buy this? It’s all about control. All of us feel it, no matter how much we deny it. It’s almos...That...

James Prescott: Divinely Naked
http://jamespressgang.blogspot.com/2010/11/divinely-naked.html
Asking the difficult questions about living like Jesus today. Friday, November 12, 2010. Have you ever heard someone say something about you, and the instant you heard it, it made sense? Like it ticked a box, you connected with it in some deep divine kind of way, almost like you always knew this thing about yourself, or had felt it on some level, but someone saying it had merely confirmed it or vocalised it for the first time? That happened to me the other day. It’s a scary thing actually, being yo...

James Prescott: November 2008
http://jamespressgang.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Asking the difficult questions about living like Jesus today. Sunday, November 23, 2008. Forget fear, embrace obedience. Fear can be one of the biggest holdups to achievement. How often do we not do something because we are 'worried about what might happen' or 'worried about.(fill in the appropriate reason). Worried of what people will think. Worried we'll fail and be embarrassed. Worried people will think we're stupid or foolish. Worried we'll alienate people. Worried people will think we're crazy.

James Prescott: April 2009
http://jamespressgang.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Asking the difficult questions about living like Jesus today. Saturday, April 04, 2009. I have been doing a lot of thinking and reflecting recently, and have come to a decision regarding the future of my writing/blogging. . In recent months I've been trying to write two blogs with two very different focuses and while I believe the motivation and the vision behind that was the correct one, that ultimately it is becoming too much of a drain on me. My real passion is the church, the future of the church, wh...

Running Through The Forest: I have no SKIN!!!!!
http://runningthroughtheforest.blogspot.com/2008/07/i-have-no-skin.html
Running Through The Forest. I have no SKIN! Michael VS. Grandpa Jo. Friday, July 25, 2008. I have no SKIN! I guess the only thing that stick out in my mind about his was a comment made by Alleko, one of my coaches. He informed me that, "Pain is only temporary. But glory lasts forever! And right there I felt like I was in some Trojan war movie and Brad Pitt was giving an inspirational speech! All in all, I love the sport. My heels on the other hand. Well, cheers for now! Running Through The Forest: July 2008
http://runningthroughtheforest.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Running Through The Forest. I have no SKIN! Michael VS. Grandpa Jo. Monday, July 28, 2008. At our young marrieds bible study group this last Sunday. We were discussing 1 John and ideas such as, how do we know the voice we hear is God, and ways we can ensure that we are hearing the voice of god clearly. Topics like these are really hard for me because no matter where the discussion takes us we always land on "Well, you just need to have faith.". I know for me that I lack in the faith department. Maybe...
