Saturday, December 31, 2011. Our 2011 Office Christmas Party. We took the office to Happy Sumo to try sushi. Some ate it for the first time, some stayed clear of it and ordered off the grill. It was a unique and memorable event and was made even more memorable by the buckets and buckets of rain we received that weekend (practically the only time the entire summer we got any moisture! And eating some fabulous Puerto Rican food. We both left Puerto Rico in love with mofongo mashed plantains mixed with garlic, broth, and often pork or vegetables. So tasty! Friday, August 14, 2015. Friday morning we headed out to Roosevelt for My Grandpa Lynn's funeral. It was a beautiful service and I was so glad we were there. It was so fun to see all my family and celebrate Lynn Labrum. I'm named after him and I am his oldest Great Grandchild. I've always felt a special connection to him. He was a highway patrol man and this awesome vintage patrol car led the procession to the cemetery. The funeral had military honors and it was really, really neat. I want one of those s...
