Monday the 5th of August at Russell St. school in Palmerston North there was a big celebration. Teachers and children dressed in there favorite book characters to celebrate the new look library called The Hub. The old library has been transformed in to an a amazing new look. A second book sale was held for Kids Can which raised $240. Wednesday, 14 August 2013.

Thursday, 12 September 2013. WALT: comparing our soil sample to Suzanne's. Equipment: x2 soil samples ( where were they collected from? Method: how did you analyse the samples. I see that Suzanne's clay is more solid and seems to have more water than our sample that we took a few meters back from the fence. Our clay fell apart. I saw that Suzanne's clay is more moist and has colour through it. My group sample is crumbly and falls apart. I think Suzanne's clay is real clay and ours sample is just dirt.

Wednesday, 14 August 2013. SCIENCE - What is clay? Solids - liquids - gases. Matter (stuff) can be:. Words we know of:. Atoms, particles, neuro-particles. Romans used to make bases with clay. What happens if we add water? How do we colour clay to make it like plasticine? Can you melt clay? How does clay turn hard when baked? Where do you find clay? What is clay made from? I think that clay comes from mud and from under the ground? I think this is because the water makes the clay particles on the surface.

Monday, 19 August 2013. Monday the 5th of August at Russell St. school in Palmerston North there was a big celebration. Teachers and children dressed in there favorite book characters to celebrate the new look library called The Hub. The old library has been transformed in to an a amazing new look. Specials guest were invited to the school to celebrate the day. The mayor read story’s to the class’s and some of the kids gave the mayor high five’s. A second book sale was held for Kids Can which raised $240.
