I Have The Best Words. In Defence of Shyness (or A not-so-thorough experiential analysis of introversion). Let’s clear one thing up from the get-go: introversion does not equal shyness. A shy person is someone who gets anxious in social situations. An introvert is someone who, although they may enjoy socialising, gains energy from being alone. That said, is it possible that a lot of introverts start out shy? But why would they care what I have to say? Because, as The Oatmeal. Sure Having awkward moments?

I Have The Best Words. Outcome Independence: The Answer to Life, The Universe and Everything. No wait, that’s 42. Still, outcome independence is pretty dope. 8220;Outcome independence”? Meaning you shouldn’t care about the results of your actions? At first, this seems to directly contradict some of my previous posts. It seems to suggest apathy as a way of life, which I am completely against. Er…not quite what I mean. But I’m considering a more nuanced interpretation of the term. But as I suggested here.

I Have The Best Words. The age of the cliché. We are the overexposed generation. We swallow as much information in a matter of days that our forefathers would have had to work years to take in. This is of course a great boon and we should appreciate the fact that this incredible smorgasbord of information is available at our fingertips. However, there is a flip side to the story. 8220;And how do you feel about that? As Rooney Mara said in The Social Network, just because something’s trite doesnR...

Goals: To set or not to set? | I Have The Best Words

I Have The Best Words. Goals: To set or not to set? Should you set goals for yourself? There have been studies conducted which indicate that having fixed written goals for yourself gives you a greater chance of achieving those things, perhaps because it lends more accountability and a sense of purpose. The alternative view is that goals are stifling. Why not take life as it comes? I used to buy into that, but I don’t anymore. Why? It’s fun and relaxing, isn’t it? We can think of the grass as a long-term ...

I Have The Best Words. Monthly Archives: April 2015. How much does talent truly matter? The consensus in society today is, a lot. People are always trying to find the things that they are naturally talented at, maybe because these are the things that would give them the maximum reward for minimum effort. And maybe because they believe that, since this is where their innate abilities lie, this is what they were “born to do”. Their “passion”, so to speak. Why does this change as you grow older? The status ...
