Archive for October, 2008. Short term and long term memories (STM and LTM). October 25, 2008. It seems ( I dont know as I have not verified it with my class 12 biology text book ) memory is of two types,viz., short term and long term memory. I loved allocating all study related things into long term memory. I remembered all concepts in physics and chemistry very well. They took too much space, so mathematics was forced to go to Short term memory. Now, I have totally forgotten mathematics! October 19, 2008.

One can’t deny the fact that science students can’t do calculations without a scientific calculator for a valid reason that values like Sin (56deg) cant be remembered. We were taught the usage of logarithms in PUC, but we forgot them like how everyone else did. I am sooooooo scared and tensed. This will be my first ever examination without a calculator. Its worth having a library at home! October 16, 2008. My friends used to say that I am foolish because I always buy books which are fit to be kept in libraries and they do not serve any purpose once the exams are over.
