The Caramel Slice Review: November 2011
http://thecaramelslicereview.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
The Caramel Slice Review. Yes this is about Caramel Slice. Goodies and Duds. Tuesday, November 1, 2011. Ritual, Wanaka. Will not buy again. Made on site. 3/10. $4. Again, a bit disappointing for dear Wanaka. This had a hard thick icing, and I couldn't actually taste the caramel. The base was also all wrong - maybe it just wasn't fresh. EIther which way it seemed like a bit of a chef's experiment - which I'm all for, I just wish they'd try them before putting them on the counter. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Caramel Slice Review: May 2014
http://thecaramelslicereview.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
The Caramel Slice Review. Yes this is about Caramel Slice. Goodies and Duds. Tuesday, May 13, 2014. La Bella Italia, Petone 4/10, $4.50, would not have again - made by on site. This was a pretty disappointing step back to reviewing my beloved caramel slice. We hadn't had a bit for almost a year, and I was expecting a goodie from La Bella Italia. I know it doesn't look much either, but I hoped it might be an ugly duckling. Location: Petone, Lower Hutt, New Zealand. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Caramel Slice Review: Gasoline, The Terrace
http://thecaramelslicereview.blogspot.com/2012/11/gasoline-terrace.html
The Caramel Slice Review. Yes this is about Caramel Slice. Goodies and Duds. Friday, November 16, 2012. Gasoline, The Terrace. Gasoline, The Terrace 8/10, $4, would have again - made by Arobake. I have been very remiss in posting this as I actually had it about 3 months ago and it was yum! Of the svelte variety, a good coconutty base, good caramel, not too heavy - very nicely balanced. Tastes better than it looks. Location: The Terrace, Wellington 6011, New Zealand. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Buy again for group morning tea. Made onsite? 6/10 $4.99 for a slab. This was bought as part of a morning tea at work and it served its purpose. The Caramel Slice Review. Yes this is about Caramel Slice. Goodies and Duds. Saturday, May 19, 2012. Barista V2, Palmerston North. Barista, Won't buy again. Made on site. 7/10. $4. This was nice and fresh and had an almost fudge icing - though not at all crystalized. While I've had a few Caramel Slices from Barista, this was the first of their Macadamia ones, with a taste of this throughout. Location: George St, Palmerston North, 4410, New Zealand. The Caramel Slice Review: October 2011
http://thecaramelslicereview.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
The Caramel Slice Review. Yes this is about Caramel Slice. Goodies and Duds. Monday, October 31, 2011. Gusto, Wanaka. Wouldn't buy again. Made on site. 4/10. $4. This was sampled during a recent trip to Wanaka - I'd have to say Wanaka shouldn't bother with caramel slice. Only 2 of the 7 cafes I went past actually had something that resembled caramel slice and this tan slice was one of them. Won't bug again, and brings the rest of the this cafe's apparently good food into question. Sunday, October 30, 2011.

Bored Goldfish: Muffin cases
http://boredgoldfish.blogspot.com/2010/05/muffin-cases.html
Sunday, May 16, 2010. I'm in love with a local kitchenware store called Table Pride. By local, I mean within an hour of here (we are a little short of shops closer than that! Plus they have a website, so stuff just turns up on my doorstep and I don't even have to leave the house. If you find yourself in Tauranga, pop in to Devonport Road and have a look. You'll find all sorts of handy items, including muffin cases:. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Click through to one tadpole. For Kerryn: Chicken (ju...
