Tri-ing to stay focused. Wednesday, July 30, 2008. So It's been a busy few months. Hello Friends. It's been a busy few months. The last weekend of June , David and I joined his family up at Mackinaw Island to help celebrate his parents 40th wedding anniversary. At last we arrived at the family farm and prepared for Dress Shopping and the family camping trip. Both of which were resounding successes. We spend an extra day at Buckhorn State Park. Everyone got along. Val skiied! How did that happen? I have t...

Tri-ing to stay focused. Friday, September 19, 2008. So this is the week where I have to decide if I sign up to do Ironman Wisconsin next year. Since the race, I have not, as David suggested I might, wanted to sell all or even any of my Triathlon gear. I really love the whole swimming, biking, and running routine and lifestyle. It's tempting, but I think I will have to pass for a year. sigh. Tuesday, September 9, 2008. IMooo Race Report (Part 1 of 4). Ultimate Goal: to Finish. Rain shower later on in the...

Tri-ing to stay focused. Tuesday, October 23, 2007. 30th Annual Detroit Marathon. My First Marathon. Part 1 of 2 or 3. I would like to thank the fine folds at Runner's World for their Smart Coach Training program. http:/ www.runnersworld.com/. Without their plan, I would not have stayed motivated or on track with the whole marathon training thing. My training plan consisted of 3 runs per week:. 1) A 5-8 mile interval or tempo (a fast but not too fast pace that one could hold for 3-6 miles. This was a hug...

Tri-ing to stay focused: April 2008
http://cmachove.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Tri-ing to stay focused. Tuesday, April 29, 2008. I haven't been to a Red Wings playoff game since they last won Lord Stanley's Cup in 2002. Overall, I am in a much happier place in life, and was happy to share the experiance with David. Although, during the game I sent the following text message to my friend Carla, with whom I had gone to the last game, six years ago: "Carla, I Am At The Wings/avs Game. Ozzy In Goal. Wings Up 4 To 1 In The2nd. Miss You.". Note: Chris Osgood was the Wings Goalie in 2002.
