Modern Foreign Languages Teacher hoping to share ideas and good practice. Sunday, 20 July 2014. I've made an ICT in MFL display which I hope to put up for next year. All of these are on TES if you'd like to use them in your own departments. Can you think of any important ones I've missed? Posted by D Morgan. Sunday, July 20, 2014. Tuesday, 15 July 2014. I know this method has been around for years - even at the age of 25 I still find myself saying " d. Not that this is a word I have to spell often! Sunda...

MorganMFL: June 2014
http://morganmfl.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Modern Foreign Languages Teacher hoping to share ideas and good practice. Thursday, 26 June 2014. For my observation yesterday I decided to do a carousel lesson. I normally play it safe for these lessons but for once I thought I’d take a bit of a risk. Having done a few of these before, although not with this class, I knew they involved a lot of planning and that it would need to be well structured for it to work. 8217;s response to my plea on the #mfltwitterati for a countdown timer that I could put ont...

Phoney Flipping aka Phlipping | The Languages Resources Blog
https://languagesresources.wordpress.com/2014/12/01/phoney-flipping-aka-phlipping
The Languages Resources Blog. Phoney Flipping aka Phlipping. Today I had a class that I was a bit too scared to flip with! I just knew that no matter what sanctions I applied, very few of them would do the home learning and watch the video on the Conditional Tense. Most children seemed to engage quite well with the video (they were certainly a lot more silent than if I were standing at the front of the room attempting to explain it! Not quite flipping, I know, but more of a phoney flip or phlip! Dom̵...

E-Bac news | The Languages Resources Blog
https://languagesresources.wordpress.com/2015/06/16/e-bac-news
The Languages Resources Blog. Its been a while since I’ve written as my personal life has been a bit busy, but I just wanted to talk about the new government’s plans with the E-Bac. If you don’t know, the E-Bac (English Baccalaureate) is a measurement of achievement in English, maths, science, geography or history and a modern foreign language. A forward-thinking school would also not let the E-Bac marginalise any creative subject if timetables and option blocks are carefully thought through. Just becaus...

Just another WordPress.com site. Newer posts →. I miss you, my dear! I miss the time you entertained me when. Days were covered with grey clouds. I miss the time you dumbly mistook my sarcasm as a compliment. I miss the time when your words excite me, then,. Bore me to death. Missing that dwarf – a mere tool,. Being towered by a remorseless ogre. Its absence brings me down the gutter,. Into the murky water. An up-turned cup, desperately needs to be filled, please. I miss you, my dear! Flipped Learning CPD session & Primary ideas | The Languages Resources Blog
https://languagesresources.wordpress.com/2014/10/15/flipped-learning-cpd-session-primary-ideas
The Languages Resources Blog. Flipped Learning CPD session and Primary ideas. Thank you to those of you who attended the Flipped Learning CPD at my school today, on behalf of the CLC in Blackpool. Below is a copy of my powerpoint. It was decided that the idea of the RAG lesson plan was probably too much for younger learners to take in, but a red group could just receive the red lesson plan and the green just the green lesson plan, and change the language to more KS1/2 friendly language. Address never mad...
