It can be expensive, and sometimes they may even turn into bad memories (e.g. the AFA vs BYU football game in Colo Springs this year when David told me, after the bad loss, that "this is the worst vacation you ever took me on! My side of the family. In the LDS Church, we have a special blessing that new babies receive. It's a wonderful, spiritual time that allows us to celebrate the new baby and welcome him or her into our church family. It allows an opportunity for Heavenly Father to bless one of His sweet children directly. For TJ's blessing, we had so many of our wonderful family members come out! It was a real treat to see so many of our loved ones, and to show off our adorable kiddo. It was so fun to have so many people!

Eli was blessed on July 26. Because we ended up doing it the Sunday after the family reunion. There were still lots of people from my mom's family in town! Almost all of my aunts and uncles from here side were able to bring their families. We felt so blessed to have so many people there to love and support Eli! I went back and read through several of my blog posts during pregnancy. By far my favorite was this one. I miss being pregnant. Which is weird, because I hated being pregnant. My posts made me laugh. I don't usually think of myself as funny,. But I hope once in a while I make you chuckle. I laugh hard at my own jokes so I like to think that once in a while someone is laughing with me.
