Friday, January 21, 2011. Eugenio "Totico" Arango - Ibae. It is with sadness that I pass along the information that the great Totico Arango has passed away. I don't know the exact details concerning his passing, but same has been posted by top rumberos in NYC. Totico no doubt influenced a whole generation of rumberos with his distinct singing and charisma. His classic album (Patato Y Totico) proved to be a venerable Rumba 101 for up and coming would be NYC rumberos and singers. May he rest in peace.

Skin on Skin congas are probably the best congas being made. The design is so clean and advanced. So to say it was a bit daunting to drill some holes into my beautiful perfect congas is a bit of an understatement; I was terrified. I'm really happy with how it turned out.
