Megan Corkhill: January 2009
http://megancorkhill.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, 22 January 2009. Once I had laid all my work out in front of me, I found collage popped up a few times across a few disciplines of design, such as packaging and illustration. These collages were scanned in and worked with on screen. As this was the most common way of working for me, I chose to design my identity based on this. All in all I like to think I have covered every base and no one has any trouble navigating around my site. I was then able to begin planning and organising measurements&#...

Thursday, 12 February 2009. I have been researching into the company to give me a broader perspective on their ethics and image. I have been looking at the logo, and the arts impressions of the new building that we are designing the Illustration for. I am now much more aware of the scale that it is going to be projected onto. . I am very aware that I should be alot further than I am with this so I'm defiantly prioritisong this brief at the moment. Tuesday, 10 February 2009. After neglecting this brief ye...

My portfolio I feel needs a bit of work done to it, but I will wait for my feedback ready to apply for when I take y portfolio to the final show. I can now focus on my professional project! Below are a few fonts I found which I really liked :). NEW BRIEF / ANIMAL. Megan Corkhill: December 2008
http://megancorkhill.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Friday, 12 December 2008. WEBSITE STUFF / INTERIM CRITIQUE. The image clearly represents me and how I look. It also relates to past illustration I have done. However I don't want to be seen as entirely an illustrator. I like to think I have skills in a wide media and I want this to be reflected through my website. People liked the name PegLegs although there were doubts from Neil, and a point was made as to whether or not I would like this name and logo to represent me in 15 years time? I found this pres...

Thursday, 18 December 2008. Live Brief - Birthday Invites. I haven't really been given anything to work from as a basis but apart from that they just need to be pretty and girly and fashionable. The first thing that springs to mind is a bit Barbie related but I defiantly wont be designing anything along that line. . Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Bournemouth, United Kingdom. I am currently completing the third year of my degree in Illustration at the Arts University College Bournemouth.

Thursday, 15 January 2009. After a day of getting frustrated fiddling around with little bits of patterned paper, and getting a sore thumb I have finally got 5 successfully made little birds. Wednesday, 14 January 2009. I went on a little trip today with Vicky, Luke, Ollie and Chris to The Range and came across these gorgeous pattern samples by Laura Ashley. I think these would make very good birds! Tuesday, 13 January 2009. PPRD update from Neil. Blog or progress file or diary. Including work from my FMP.

Megan Corkhill: A BIT OF SATURDAY MOTIVATION.
http://megancorkhill.blogspot.com/2009/02/bit-of-saturday-motivation.html
Saturday, 28 February 2009. A BIT OF SATURDAY MOTIVATION. I am currently aware that as this professional project, PPRD and anything else goes on I need to make sure I don't neglect the theory side of things. Today I have tried to come up with some sort of reading list and some case studies ready to show Anna in Monday's session. Unfortunately a few of the books I need are on loan, so have reserved them. But I also can't take any more out until I have returned the 9 I currently have on loan! Megan, 20 fro...
