Laura in London: July 2010
http://laurainlondon-hendrix.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
The blog of an American student studying in London. Saturday, July 31, 2010. 1) Buy sweaters, sort clothing for mix-and-match-able items (since I'm bringing one suitcase). 2) Figure out my itinerary for the week of travel and make hostel reservations. 3) Buy Eurail pass, for Belgium/France/Germany and England. 4) Update my Google Calendar (I don't know how I lived without it) with my class times and pre-planned events. 5) Buy books, ship them to Donia's. 1) See Les Miserables on the West End.
Laura in London: December 2010

The blog of an American student studying in London. Wednesday, December 1, 2010. And receive a shout of "Come on, you Rs! In return, accompanied by booing from the Cardiff City fans in the crowds. It was freezing, drizzling, and the area around Loftus Field was composed of run-down council housing, so the mass amounts of chavs I saw screaming profanity at each other wasn't surprising. Sorry, even I couldn't say that with a straight face. Not much of any importance happened that day beyond starting to con...
Laura in London: November 2010
http://laurainlondon-hendrix.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
The blog of an American student studying in London. Friday, November 26, 2010. Making the aforementioned butteriest dressing in the world. In the wonderful depths of a food coma. Sunday, November 21, 2010. Where all come together in a crescendo of sound. With a peculiar expression, as though I'll slap my head and go "Oh, damn, I forgot my husband at home.". Anyway, the War Requiem was heartbreakingly beautiful (here's a link to the text, if you're interested: War Requiem Text. The biology section was a b...

Laura in London: Days 73-78
http://laurainlondon-hendrix.blogspot.com/2010/11/days-73-78.html
The blog of an American student studying in London. Wednesday, November 17, 2010. Day 73: Not much of interest happened that day. We had British Politics and Literature with Dr. King in the morning and finally finished discussing Riddley Walker. I spent the afternoon and evening lazing around and working on the massive amounts of homework I had. Day 75: I spent that day cooped up in the flat, which made for a nice change of pace, working on my paper on Leontes' aside in The Winter's Tale. And down the st...

Letters from London: It's been a while.
http://manditaylor.blogspot.com/2010/09/its-been-while.html
Friday, September 3, 2010. It's been a while. Rest assured that I will very soon, though, as I have lots of free time tomorrow that I plan to use to update this blog. (I don't think I've given anyone the link to the blog yet, so by the time anyone reads this, I will probably have already made the next post.) The only people whose blogs I've found so far are Laura. Okay, wellllll. Next post by Monday, seriously this time! Free wifi is awesome. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Observations, part two.
Letters from London: September 2010
http://manditaylor.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 27, 2010. Week One (August 27 - September 4). This is going to be a more diary-type entry, which might be more boring than the last two (or not), but you'll finally know what I've been doing since I left home! Hopefully I don't repeat anything that I said in the last two posts. She also seemed surprised that no one was meeting me at the airport, but I assured her that I knew it took an hour to get to central London on the Tube, and I would be alright. No, I have a freedom pass! I got up...

Laura in Lexington
Tales of time and anecdotes of agony and elation, stories and sermons, narratives on nothing - Laura's life in Lexington as a youth minister, student and 20 something living on her own! Sunday, August 31, 2008. But that’s not the only thing we have to worry about. Sometimes we are even guilty of sending mixed messages. We might not mean to, but we are just as guilty as the next person of sending a message that has lots of different meanings. What is that message, that alert, that call, asking us to do?
Laura in Liberia, 2008
Monday, September 1, 2008. Leaving Liberia (or, "Why Liberia? After 2 short months, my time in Liberia came to an end, but not without an incredible farewell party hosted by the Ministry of Gender and Development! I was leaving the next day, and Jenny (the intern from Princeton) and a woman named Paavani (United Nations Development Programme) were leaving soon,. So the Ministry held us a goodbye party that I will never forget. In my speech, after all of my thank you's,. My love of West Africa! 7) Wonderf...

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father, which is in heaven." Matthew 5:16. Prayer Requests and Praises. Friday, May 25, 2012. After graduation this afternoon I was able to get one quick picture with most of the graduates. Unfortunately my eyes are closed in the picture; however, I still love it because it's a great picture of my now former students. From now on I will be posting at my new blog site - http:/ ministryinireland.blogspot.com. Teaching co...

Laura in Lou – Transplanted, I take root and grow
Transplanted, I take root and grow. Let’s Talk Fitness. Let’s Talk Fitness. September 9, 2016. September 9, 2016. Here’s the short version of this post: this summer I implemented a new workout routine called “do whatever feels good” and it was incredible. To me, this was revolutionary. As anyone who knows me personally (or has at least read this blog for a while) can tell, I am a Type-A personality. Since I started… Continue reading Let’s Talk Fitness. September 7, 2016.
