Saturday, April 24. I've made us rings. Ryan has been expressing dissatisfaction (jealousy? In not being able to wear a ring now too, like I get to. So I made him an engagement ring, and a pinky ring for me to match. I made these rings using the trusty fisherman's knot. I learned this knot in my backpacking class at Baylor and have used it so much since, mainly just with necklaces. The two knots can move, so you can make the necklace bigger or smaller without having to untie the knot. Pretty handy.

Monday, August 31. That is my first attempt at UNT school spirit. Maybe my last? We will see. When I was at the bookstore last week, buying my textbooks, I almost bought a UNT T-shirt, but I couldn't bring myself to just yet. I like my Baylor shirts, thank you. Maybe next semester I will be ready. So there's that. I'm here, in an Einstein Bros. Bagels within the Union Building (which is also way huger than Baylor's) wasting time until five (it's 4:30). Wednesday, August 26. I'm at Art Six. It is so good!

Tuesday, March 30. Check out my wordle. It was made using the text from this blog (click on the little image to go to it). Sweet Its interesting to see all the words I use often outside of their context. You can make your own! 2 months and six days! Sunday, March 28. What a great Sunday it has been! I feel like today has truly been a sabbath. I have not done a lick of work, and have spent lots of time enjoying the weather and enjoying family (and family-to-be). Such a great weekend! Saturday, March 27.

Sunday, February 28. Man, looking at that counter to the right makes me nervous/anxious/excited. Anxious and nervous because there is still lots to do that I don't know how to do (decorating, catering, decisions) and excited because I want be married to Ryan. Four and 1/2 months! Weddings weddings weddings weddings! They're everywhere. But that's okay. Monday, February 15. My newest obsession: fabric flowers. I've also made a ribbon flower. How cool would it be if I had a wedding full of these things?

Tuesday, June 30. This week is my last week of summer class. I had my quiz yesterday and oral presentation today. I presented about this sculpture. It's a the portrait of a Roman matron as the goddess Cybele:. I think it went well, but it's hard to know with those kind of things. Next I have my final exam on Thursday and then I'm done. Finito. Done with classes at Baylor. It still hasn't hit me I don't think. Then I'm off to the next phase of my summer, taking place in Colleyville. Monday, June 22. Fo sh...

Tuesday, February 10, 2009. I have read 4 or so books since Christmas. For me this is unheard of! I didn't enjoy reading until my Junior year at Baylor. I feel like I missed out on some great things by not being reader when I was younger. Better late than never I guess. Anyways, I am attempting to read the Alchemist right now. Wednesday, July 30, 2008. I, along with my Hello Kitty sewing machine, made a lap quilt! I just wanted to see if I could do it and am pretty happy with the turnout. I used Amy Butler's Midwest Modern fabric. I just love the colors! Now that Britt and I have completed all of these projects I think it's time for a little break. Off to Atlanta we go! Be back next week! Posted by Holly Duke. Thursday, July 24, 2008. 50 simple things kids can do. Posted by Holly Duke. Wednesday, July 23, 2008. This was quite ...

Monday, August 25, 2008. I have a fear of going to the bank. Have I ever told you that I have a fear of the bank? Somehow every time I go, I do something wrong. Lately this fear has been amplified at Wells Fargo because my account says Holly Jones and my ID says Holly Duke. Geez. Sometimes Britt offers up the idea that I should be a bank teller for some extra cash. How can I work there if I can't even make a successful trip through the drive-thru? One day I will grow up. One day. Posted by Holly Duke.

Friday, March 27, 2009. So i didn't win the giveaways but. I got a haircut! I am just soo excited to have all of that hair gone! My hair was past my shoulder blades. I think i got about 7 inches off. I probably lost a lb. of hair. My Wii fit will be so proud! I am super excited about that since we have little to no plans this weekend. My main objective is to finish book one of Twilight. Then, perhaps, I will watch the movie? Posted by Holly Duke. Monday, March 16, 2009. Baggu Grosgrain Guest GIVEAWAY!

Wednesday, May 28, 2008. Mr and Mrs. Chad Zellner! Aren't they beautiful people? I had the best Memorial Day weekend with these 2 (and the other 17-18 in the bridal party)! This wedding was unique for me to be a part of because I not only know and adore the bride, but I know and love the groom, too! It was wonderful. Congrats guys! UPDATE on previous post. I brewed my own snicker-roo coffee at home the other morning. It is rumored that I may be receiving a CG coffee mug for my birthday? Dilemma #2: The i...

August 4, 2014. Just so you know, I’m here. December 1, 2013. I had a substitute a week or so ago, and while I was gone I had my students do mad lib illustrations. I got the idea from Organized Chaos. An octopus baking a cake in the North Pole. (This kid is a fantastic artist). Santa Claus playing checkers in the forest. Penguins sneezing in outer space. A shark eating spaghetti at Six Flags. Mrs Maxwell eating at Chili’s. I have a nice, artsy dress on, no? Thanksgiving festivities were fun and full!

Thursday, November 12, 2009. Monday, August 3, 2009. Six Degrees of Separation. First of all, let me start off by saying that I totally pulled this idea off of Amanda Moore's blog, but I thought it was too fun to pass up on. So here are some fun questions for you! Do we know each other? If so, how? Ex: We shared scissors with each other when we were in kindergarten. Ex: We worked at Pine Cove together and still don't know each other's real names. Maybe we don't know each other, but have we ever met?
