Reading Reflections: R-A-T: Hours 22 & 23

http://laurasreadingreflections.blogspot.com/2009/04/r-t-hours-22-23.html

Reading is a basic tool in the living of a good life. Joseph Addison. Sunday, April 19, 2009. R-A-T: Hours 22 and 23. My cat FINALLY jumped up on my lap to cuddle with me (at 5am). She's been in and out of the living room all day! So I'm not really sure what to do. I'm going to spend some time blog hopping and seeing who is still awake. After that, there will be less than an hour left- should I start another book? Maybe there will be a end of the event mini-challenge that I can do! 50 pages over my goal!

Reading is a basic tool in the living of a good life. Joseph Addison. Sunday, April 19, 2009. RAT: Hour 24 and End of the Event Meme. It is now 6:20, and I'm not going to start a new book. I'll do the survey, see if anyone else is still awake, then go to bed myself! This has been a GREAT read-a-thon! Thank you to the hostesses and cheerleaders! Now I just have to get caught up writing the reviews for all 5 books I finished. These are my final numbers:. Total number of pages: 1050. Probably 18 and 19.

Reading is a basic tool in the living of a good life. Joseph Addison. Saturday, April 18, 2009. R-A-T: Hours 13-15 and Mid-Event Survey. I just had a very eventful hour 14, as I met up with Trish. And Krystal (our unofficial cheerleader! At IHOP. Blueberry pancakes=yummy deliciousness! We felt a little silly with our books and cameras, but our server was very kind in taking our pictures! I feel very wide awake now, thanks to the 2 1/2 cups of coffee. My updated stats from the last post are:. I've had alm...

Reading is a basic tool in the living of a good life. Joseph Addison. Saturday, April 18, 2009. R-A-T: Hours 16 and 17. Well it's almost midnight here, and even with my fun IHOP break, I'm feeling a little restless. I keep putting my book down and just staring at the wall. Hopefully that will go away soon. I finished. Fire in the Blood. And have moved onto. It is nice and short, so that will feel good to finish a book quickly! Number of pages since last update: 96. Total number of pages: 638. Still doing...

http://soonerkari.blogspot.com/2009/04/hour-5.html

Saturday, April 18, 2009. Here we are at hour five and I am still going strong! Sat outside and listened to the soft rain for a little while. I'm one of those people that needs it to be pretty quite when I read, but listening to the rain was so soothing and I just got lost in the story. Here are my stats so far:. Pages: 85 more pages from Matrimony. So Matrimony is a good read-a-thon book? I have it in my stack- maybe I'll read that one next. I'm glad you are still going strong! April 18, 2009 at 9:10 AM.

Reflections of Me: December 2008

http://soonerkari.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 3, 2008. I was very proud of myself for pulling my nose out of my books to spend some good quality time over Thanksgiving with my family! I did end up finishing one book, but only read a night before I went to sleep, so it took a little longer than it normally does. Tess Gerritsen is one of my "go to" authors when I want a good mystery. Her stories are always very captivating and her topic are very attention grabbing. Here is a clip from the first chapter:. Date Finished: November 28,...

Reflections of Me: October 2008

http://soonerkari.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

Monday, October 27, 2008. Date Finished: October 26, 2008. This book involves the elusive Camel Club members who are headed up by none other than Oliver Stone. This however, like several characters in this book, is not his real name. So many secrets are kept in this book, not only between friends, but between families as well. If government secrets, assassins, and mystery solving are of interest to you, I would highly recommend picking up this book. Did Carter really parish in the fire? While the Camel C...

http://soonerkari.blogspot.com/2009/04/hours-7-8.html

Saturday, April 18, 2009. I can't believe it's already been 8 hours. Oh how I would love to just spend my days lounging around reading :) But since I can't (work pays the bills), I am so happy that there are things like this out there to participate in and meet other people who are as excited about books as I am! Looks like it could start pouring here any minute, which would be great! Hope everyone is having a great time and keep up the great reading! Pages: 141 of Sunday's at Tiffany's. Hours 19 and 20.

Reflections of Me: March 2009

http://soonerkari.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Saturday, March 21, 2009. The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien. Title: The Things They Carried. I have been wanting to read this book for a while after a family friend and I got to talking about it. I have always found it interesting what soldiers carry with them. Things that they are required to have, but what other little things to they keep close to them to keep them connected to loved ones they are separated from? Definitely a good read for anyone interested in Vietnam, or any war for that matter.

Reflections of Me: Hour 1 Questions

http://soonerkari.blogspot.com/2009/04/hour-1-questions.html

Saturday, April 18, 2009. I have now been reading for about an hour and a half, and since I was at a good stopping point, I decided to head on over and see what our wonderful hosts and cheerleader had for us to do for Hour 1. Below are some questions that are being used to help us all get to know each other. Where are you reading from today? I am reading at home today, in a town right outside Dallas, Texas. 3 facts about me …. I of course LOVE to read and have ever since I was little. When I first starte...

Transformed from Glory to Glory - Home

Transformed from Glory to Glory. Random Thoughts. The Blog. I love 2 Corinthians 3:18 "And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." Isn't that amazing? But part of the Good News is that I don't have to *DO* anything to *BE* His! I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. I will glory in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glori...

Laura Marie’s Random Thoughts | Anything Goes….

Laura Marie’s Random Thoughts. March 30, 2018. Then finally last week, it dawned on me as I watched my pets stare at me sadly as I was putting on my shoes to go pick up some dinner. I’m like them –. Don’t leave, I’ll miss you! I can tell myself things like. The kids are grown and this is normal. Stop being a woos. You’ll see your husband tomorrow, think about those spouses of deployed military personnel, stop being a big baby. Maybe I sure was. So hint to myself – when I get stuck, step back and lo...

8220;Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I'll understand.”- Chinese Proverb. Thursday, March 24, 2011. Friday, March 11, 2011. This is something I've struggled with ever since I became a teacher. I keep arranging, rearranging books in my classroom library, because I read different things on how they should be organized. Some authors say by reading level, others say by author, or subject, or genre. What works best? I HAVE NO IDEA! As simple as that. Friday, March 4, 2011.

Reading Reflections

Reading is a basic tool in the living of a good life. Joseph Addison. Tuesday, April 21, 2009. 4 Mini-Reviews in 4 Sentences. Since I finished 5 books in the read-a- thon. I am now really behind on my reviews. I have been having a difficult time keeping up with my reviews in the past several months, so I'm going to be VERY brief- I'm going to try to do each review in only 4 sentences. We'll see how this goes! I am going to write a "normal" review for. Since I only read part of it during the read-a- thon.

A blog about my almost exciting life. Tuesday, January 29, 2013. How to Make Rapunzel Hair. I made Rapunzel hair for my 3 year old for Christmas, and I discovered that it's surprisingly easy - and cheap. She loves it, and you can style it and restyle it several different ways. Braids are recommended, however, to reduce the occurrence of tangles. This is how I made the hair:. Two 7 oz thingers of yarn (you'll use about 1 1/2) - I used Red Heart - Cornmeal (color).
