FEMMEbruary Finale | laurastratford
https://laurastratford.wordpress.com/2014/03/02/femmebruary-finale
March 2, 2014 · 4:09 pm. Well, friends and esteemed readers, I made it through 28 days of feminine presentation. I am now better at wearing heels and lipstick, about the same as before on doing my hair, and not even slightly competent at putting on false eyelashes. Five seconds before everything went to hell:. I did not get asked out more often, which was fine with me. I have a suspicion that I got away with being the “sweet innocent girl” to a greater degree because of the costume. 2013: A (Personal) Space Odyssey. FEMMEbruary Update: Definitions and Digging Deep →. February 2, 2014 · 3:10 pm. When I was a kid, I thought that being feminist was pretty similar to being a tomboy–that it meant that I would get to be “tough” and do the “cool” things that guys did. For a long time I resisted things I thought of as “too feminine.” Even recently, I took knee-jerk offense when my mom said to me that she thought I was plenty feminine. 1 No going out without any makeup. I got up a few minute...

December 31, 2013 · 12:59 pm. 2013: A (Personal) Space Odyssey. OH SHOOT THE BLOG’S BACK EVERYONE REJOICE! Now, even though it *is* a Tuesday, this is not to say that the hiatus is over. I did mention that I would sporadically update, and since we all arbitrarily choose December 31st as our time to reflect on the past 365 days, I thought I’d update on The Year Of No Asking Out. I made it, you guys! So what did not asking anyone out mean for me this year? Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

FEMMEbruary Finale →. February 25, 2014 · 6:23 pm. One week to go in the FEMMEbruary challenge! I promise, dear readers, that I continue to wear skirts and heels and lipstick, and moreover that I continue to think about what it means to be “feminine.”. Here is some photo proof of my continued fidelity to this goal:. My “Italian girl driving a Vespa” look. Experimenting with what felt like a much better French Twist than it turned out to be. The elusive Twist Braid. Howard Zinn, p.119). They don’t n...

Notes from the Eyrie. I live in Chicago. I write and dance and game. I occasionally take pictures of things. My current search is for an alchemical relationship linking location and life. My photographs of place taken from the air or land are the working base for most of these artworks. They are a point from which I attempt to recreate the wonder of experience in the world. I want to transform a moment into an enduring mental place of creativity in essence a location in my life where nothing ends and everything remains a beginning.

NICE TO MEET YOU. I always try to make something special and unique for my clients; something, that makes you remember how you. All those emotions and uniqueness of every couple - I love to put it all together into a story and be a part of helping to remeber this day forever. I've been shooting weddings many years for now and this is something what I do with dedication and love. Every wedding tells it's special story and is mesmerising in it´s own way. Laura's travel daze. TRAVEL.FUN.LEARNING.LAUGHS. I guess I better give it a go…. Most fun day – was in San Pedro de Atacama. It was a day full of mountain biking, hiking, sand boarding, Valley of the Moon tour and star gazing. Lessons learnt – follow your heart and do what makes YOU happy. Lessons reiterate – as always, you pay for what you get. Know when it’s better to play it safe and pay more. Biggest surprise – the city of Buenos Aires absolutely blew me out of the water. Plan or not to plan? On this...
