This blog is going to document my journey to adoption in Kazakhstan. Wednesday, January 9, 2008. Today is the big day.part 2.more pictures! I know, I know - MORE pictures? Well, you asked for them, so you got them! Yesterday at the baby house was wonderful. Kyson was in such a great mood. I ended up taking all of his clothes off (except his diaper) so I could see if he had all 10 toes and was shocked at how little he is! It looks to me like he's all legs so hopefully he'll be a tall boy when he grows up.

This blog is going to document my journey to adoption in Kazakhstan. Wednesday, January 9, 2008. My hearing lasted maybe 10 minutes this morning. I was shocked - the judge didnt ask me any questions at all! Tatiana and Irena told me that my speech was excellent. (who knew I could write that well! Because the prosecutor wasn't there, I will have to meet with him (? I'll still be flying out at the original time (4:00 am Sat morning) and arrive in Chi-town at 10:30 am! Keep saying those prayers for me!

Finally got up at 3:30 and got online, did some laundry, and started packing. Hopefully I'll be able to get a nap in this afternoon! Note: this was the 4th blog entry I did today so make sure you go down and see ALL the pictures that I posted! If there was a way that I could have wrapped him up and put him in my bag, I would have done it! If it wasn't for having to be over here for 3 or 4 more weeks, I'd have done that too! I guess there is definitely no doubt that I bonded with him! That'll definitely help to keep things in perspective.

Nathaniel abosolutely loves to go swimming with Derlani. He is doing really well this year and loves going down slides and jumping in the water! As you can see, he is still so proud of little sister! Acorns of information from the family! Friday, January 11, 2008. I think the Praise Baby Videos are "baby drugs" as Derlani cannot keep her eyes off them when they are playing. She got one for Christmas and absolutely loves it! She is mesmerized as she watches. She was running a fever yesterday and had to come home and so I put the video in and she sat quietly and eventually fell asleep. I love the different praise songs that they sing. She will make singing noises as she watches and learns.

Acorns of information from the family! Saturday, December 15, 2007. We traveled with Mom and Dad to Kentucky to see the Christmas Production at Kentucky Christian University the first of December. It was a great trip and a wonderful start to the Christmas season. Nathaniel attended the Christmas Feast and Derlani stayed with one of the college students. We had a wonderful time! It is really hard to believe that Derlani is almost one! This time last year I didn't even know she was coming!

Acorns of information from the family! Saturday, January 5, 2008. Nathaniel had his first basketball game this afternoon and did. He scored 7 or 8 baskets and rebounded several. He loves basketball and I hope he stays interested in the sport. He also likes soccer and all sorts of video games. His little sister watched him play today and seemed to enjoy the game. I sure did! I just wanted to update this today for all those that have been watching and waiting for this announcement! Kyson and Laurie are a family together now and doing great! There were several at the airport last night and it was very exciting! The plane landed fifteen minutes early and we were able to watch as the escorts carried Kyson (sleeping) into the airport and down the hall to his anxious awaiting Mommy!
