Getting up the Mountain. Welcome to the Lake District Ski Club. How do I join? The Lake District Ski Club offers one of the most cost effective ways of skiing. 30 gives you membership and a free day of skiing, whilst 55 gets you membership and a full season pass ( 5 discount for standing order), meaning you can ski as many times as you like. In fact last year you could have skied on Raise for less than a pound a day. WE DO NOT HAVE ANY SKI HIRE OR TUITION FACILITIES, ACCOMMODATION OR HOLIDAY PACKAGES.

You should be equipped for a mountain environment before embarking. Do not rely solely on Googlemaps or GPS devices and be aware that cloud can descend suddenly making visibility very poor. Sunday, 2 March 2014. Powder snow in the Helvellyn Massif. We were in the car park at Greenside Mine by 08:50hrs. By the time it took to get the the gear on the car park was full, but at least the heavy sleet shower had stopped. Catsycam looking wonderful under the cover of snow.
