Bread from a Novice Baker: Vegetarian... Chulent?
http://leahsleavenedbread.blogspot.com/2013/06/vegetarian-chulent.html
Bread from a Novice Baker. Bread, cookies, and more from an enthusiastic source. Friday, June 14, 2013. Chulent is not so glamorous. I tried to compensate with a glamour shot of my crock pot. See below. Although people are sceptical about making a meatless chulent, I think this is a winner. Try it, let me know what you think. Note- as you can see from the picture, I use a small crockpot. If using a large crockpot, double or triple this recipe. 2 1/2 tsp oil. 1 onion, cut into chunks. So glad youre back!

https://irenesharonhodes.wordpress.com/2013/01/21/inauguration-elation-election-depression
Food and Fancies, Wine and Words. Laquo; Sex and Death. The Israeli voting booth: archaic or effective? Inauguration Elation, Election Depression. January 21, 2013 by Irène Sharon Hodes. I’m an American living in Israel, and today I watched the Presidential inauguration live on C-Span (weeping profusely at all the right moments, as I do), wondering why the hell I’m here. If it were only a matter of voting my beliefs, it would be Meretz, the unwavering liberal party with human rights at its very core....

Good Friday | A Portrait of the Winemaker as a Young Man
https://winemakerguy.wordpress.com/2010/04/02/good-friday
A Portrait of the Winemaker as a Young Man. My adventures in wine. April 2, 2010 in Uncategorized. Today was Good Friday. And most New Zealanders began their four-day holiday weekend. Even the winery was pretty quiet since the bottling crew. Were all off. For winemakers and cellar hands, however, there’s no such thing as a holiday weekend during vintage. So the entire winery was empty except for about the ten of us in the cellar and lab, which was pretty relaxing even if we worked. Other Blogs I Like.

Get the Foodie 411. Thursday, March 18, 2010. For the love of deep frying. Recently, on The Twitter there was talk of Polenta Fries, something I have made many times. I was surprised that people actually had not hear about, or tried these delectable treats. It's a great way to use up left over polenta and change it up, especially if you are the only one eating and have a lot leftover. So easy to do and very rewarding from a taste and texture perspective. Deep Fried Polenta Cubes with Spicy Ketchup. Toss ...
