Saturday, August 9, 2014. Five for Friday - August 9. I'm linking up with DoodleBugs. For Five for Friday! 1 I spent the past week at a workshop for teaching English language learners. It was really great! I learned some really great strategies for building language for my ELLs. And, they gave us some beautiful hardback books, including this precious one by Margaret Wise Brown. They also gave us the English version (All the Families). I can't wait to use it as a take home book/family project. I'm hoping ...

Sunday, February 10, 2013. How exciting is that? Melissa at Common Core and So Much More. Has so kindly featured me in her weekly Sunday Clip Artist Feature! I've known since early January that I would be one of the artists featured and quickly got to work on a very special clip art set. I was so excited the day I found out that I spent all day creating! Since then, the anticipation has been driving me crazy! I've been telling people that this very special set has been burning a hole in my hard drive!

Kindergarten: Holding Hands and Sticking Together: September 2014
http://ckisloski.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 28, 2014. FREE Sight Word/Environmental Print Activity. I made this quick little activity. Then, I turned it over and did the "I like to" page on back. This was great practice not only for reading sight words, reading environmental print, and pointing to each word, but also for cutting, using a glue stick, and completing the activity independently. They had a ball. If you would like a copy! I hope your kids enjoy it. Have a wonderful week! Friday, September 26, 2014. Or food in the pots...

A Teeny Tiny Teacher. Just another WordPress site. Fun Friday Once and for All (I hope). September 15, 2013. I slept in today and Murphie let me. This was after we ignored her and cuddled with her and talked to her and made her lie down over and over and over again. We could just put her in the crate, but we are big softies. HUGE. I was so tired due to all of the rolling around on the new carpet last night. I LOVE IT! Today, I’m going to share my Fun Friday poster with you. But this is the newest one.

Polka Dot Kinders: December 2014
http://polkadotkinders.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2014. I was thinking the other day about how crazy it is that I've taught for 15 years now. When I first started I asked a more seasoned teacher how long they have been teaching and being in awe when they said 15 years. I thought they must have seen everything and know everything. I've seen and heard a lot, but I am no expert! I have started to think about what's next for me though. Farley's. Currently is the perfect way to reflect on what's next! I need to get back on track!

Spark of Inspiration: August 2015
http://spark-ofinspiration.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 23, 2015. I had a training the other week (30 hours worth) for math and I picked up so many great tips. One of my favorite ones was about accountable talk. I know it's not a new topic, but it was "newer" to me. It's a great way to have your students engaged in conversation that is meaningful, instead of just asking "Do you all agree with 's answer? You get to see their think process and hear them ask questions to press on the thinking further. My questions are right up front for my kids to...
