LeJog 2011: The Bike
http://malcs-lejog.blogspot.com/p/bike.html
Land's End to John O'Groats (LeJog) - 1000 miles, 3 countries, 2 mates, 2 bikes, 1 challenge. The Charity and Our Sponsors. It soon became clear that the rusty old Ribble bike I stole from my dad wasn't up to the job. Needing a bike for the trip, and planning to do a fair bit of cycling anyway, I opted for a 2010 Specialized Sectuer Elite. I went for a full on road bike rather than a tourer because I thought I would get more use out of road bike after the trip. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

We wanted to ride LeJog not only as a personal challenge but also as a way to raise some money for a very good cause. We decided that all money raised would go to the Highland Hospice. LeJog 2011: The Route
http://malcs-lejog.blogspot.com/p/route.html
Land's End to John O'Groats (LeJog) - 1000 miles, 3 countries, 2 mates, 2 bikes, 1 challenge. The Charity and Our Sponsors. I guess the first question is why South to North and not the other way round. Mainly it was because LeJog sounds much sexier than Jogle. Jogle sounds like we are off for a casual run around the park. Day 0 - Saturday 25/6/11 - Travel by train from my house in Hinckley, Leicestershire to Penzance. Day 1 - Sunday 26/6/11 - Penzance to Land's End, then Land's End to Bodmin - 61 miles.

Land's End to John O'Groats (LeJog) - 1000 miles, 3 countries, 2 mates, 2 bikes, 1 challenge. The Charity and Our Sponsors. Friday, 18 March 2011. Look at the shiny shiny! Tuesday, 15 March 2011. Although the turbo trainer proved useful, I did and still do, find staying in one place pretty tedious. As the end of January approached, I hoped the weather would clear soon. Training - the first months. To do something a bit crazy, to push ourselves slightly further than the daily 2 mile, 2 wheeled commute and...
