HG makes...: Grand Tour
http://hgmakes.blogspot.com/2014/11/grand-tour.html
A visual record of the projects I am currently working on, the materials I have found to experiment with, and my reflections on the objects, books, cards, prints, gifts, and other stuff I make. Tuesday, 4 November 2014. A couple of weeks ago I took part in the Counter Plymouth Artists' Book Fair. As usual, to achieve a simple yet satisfying end result a lot of calculations were needed on the obligatory scrap of paper. And the best bit of the whole process? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://lucyguenot.blogspot.com/2015/04/solvitur-ambulando.html
Print, drawing, ephemera et cetera. Monday, 27 April 2015. A literal translation of the latin phrase 'solvitur ambulando'. Attributed to St Jerome) would be, 'it is solved by walking.' Go for a walk, and everything seems easier. Solvitur Ambulando. Has become a theme in my current work and an injunction to myself to get out and walk more. This letterpress collage image was exhibited at The Museum in the Park in Stroud. In September 2014 in a show called The Art of Walking. View my complete profile.

Your Place/My Place: A Collaborative Artists' Book Project. Angie Butler and Philippa Wood: Extravagance

Your Place/My Place: A Collaborative Artists' Book Project. Angie Butler and Philippa Wood. Artists Book - Open House: No.18 and No. 42. Tuesday, 29 April 2014. I guess that a garden could be called an extravagance, but the extravagance that I wanted to mention is the thing that I like to do when I'm looking at/around my garden. Actually I will eat liquorice mostly anywhere, but it's extremely nice (and satisfying) doing it whilst taking time to look at the little piece of nature beyond my back door.

Well I think this area is the last I'll show you in this room before we move back down the upstairs hallway again. We're looking at the alcove on the left side of the room. The chest of drawers are G-Plan (and one of a matching pair - the other one is situated in the right alcove of this room). Angie Butler: Letterpress Printed Artists' Books.

Print, drawing, ephemera et cetera. Tuesday, 26 August 2014. 2 days of letterpress at LENvention2 (see http:/ len4letterpress.blogspot.co.uk/. In Cheltenham, making a book inspired by a beautiful poem written by Elizabeth Willow entitled 'Because' about the why. Of letterpress. This poem plays magically with the terminology and sometimes obscure vocabulary of letterpress. The construction of the book was devised by Rachel Marsh. We were each given 2 lines from the poem to work with. My lines were:.

A visual record of the projects I am currently working on, the materials I have found to experiment with, and my reflections on the objects, books, cards, prints, gifts, and other stuff I make. Sunday, 20 July 2014. I'm calling this one 'faint praise'. And the worst of times (frustration!

A visual record of the projects I am currently working on, the materials I have found to experiment with, and my reflections on the objects, books, cards, prints, gifts, and other stuff I make. Tuesday, 16 September 2014. To get making momentum going again I recently completed 2 small books that have been in the back of my mind for a long time. Both have originated from pre-printed materials. The first was as a result of receiving some beautiful seed packets - thank you Mr Fowler. As time has passed I ha...
