Friday, September 08, 2006. The Salt Flats of Uyuni (solar de Uyuni). We arrived to find our guide and drive, Milton and Ugo. Milton persuaded us to buy a football for the evenings and some coca leaves so he could chew them and we soon headed off out of Tupiza. The red hills just outside of Tupiza). Wednesday, September 20, 2006. Bariloche is a hellishly long bus ride from Mendoza, nearly a full day, but then again, its a hell of a long way, none of this is helped by the fact the bus stops every five minutes in the morning which is incredibly infruiating. Why on such a long ride can t people converge at a major bus station? The journey drew to a close spectacularly in and around the Argentian lake district which was stunning - incredibly blue lakes surrounded by desert. A fairly English Cathedral).

Saturday, April 29, 2006. What's that then, they didn't do that in Asia, why not. Exercise is a mainly western concept I've decided. Its not required in most of Asia. Why is this? Because people don't have the money or the food to get fat and even if they did, they'd have better things to worry about than their weight I imagine. Tuesday, August 29, 2006. The cathedral in La Paz, on Murillo square. Behind you can see the hills covered in the poorer people s houses. Just in front you can see the pigeons who rule the square). A statue in Murillo square. And a boy). The reason why there are so many fatalities are a) there is only one road to do this route (though another is underway), b) the road is one track and buses/lorries often have to reverse back up the hill and often just over-balance and tipple to their deaths. Lovely.
