One of the highlights of our week is on Monday evenings at 6:00 pm, when two young Elders from the CCM (Spanish for MTC) come to our apartment to practice teaching in Spanish. They teach us for the 6 weeks they are in the CCM. It is very rewarding for us to watch them progress in many ways. Their language skills improve every week! Elder Y Hermana Button.

Santo Domingo hosts an International Book Fair each year at a park within a 10 minute walk from the temple. There are big exibits and displays as well as little booths. The Church sponsors an exibit each year. Thursday evening we went to the grand opening of the Noche de Hogar (Family Home Evening) exibit.
